I would think it's likely he can't use Transteam Gun without Evolt, because ... TV guide spoilers for episode 37 indicate Ryuuga loses the ability to transform after Evolt leaves his body - presumably because without Evolt, his Hazard Level is no longer high enough That's an interesting dilemma. Ryuuga's Hazard Level has been rising the most, but Sento's Hazard Level may be naturally higher. If Evolt has merged with the DNA he left behind in Ryuuga, then that would explain not being able to transform. However, that should also have made Evolt whole again, and he's indicated that it hasn't. |

The recap is Sento getting to the stage where Evolt possesses him and then Ryuuga going "... wait, EVOLT is doing the recap?!"
Ryuuga is unable to transform since there are no traces of Evolt left in his body, thus he does not have a high enough Hazard Level to become Cross-Z. Evolt says "you're the one who wished to be just a human." He seriously injures Kazumi and Ryuuga and shows up to the cafe to grab the box, but Vernage possessed Misora and changes the building around so that Evolt can't find it.
Evolt continues to lie that he wants to harness the power of the box for Nanba's sake. Nanba orders him to get the Pandora Box back. Ryuuga goes to visit Gentoku and basically asks him to experiment on Ryuuga so that he can transform again. Ryuuga gets a phone call from Evolt who demands the box in exchange for Sento's safe return ... again! Ryuuga and Kazumi bring the box and Ryuuga orders Evolt to hand Sento back, but Evolt refuses. He leaves Kazumi to fight the Bros, yeah they're still around. Rogue shows up as well and joins in since Ryuuga can't fight. Evolt powers up into Rabbit Form. He easily defeats Rogue and Grease. Ryuuga tries to fight him untransformed and gets severely beat up, but then the Dragon Fullbottle changes into an Evolt Bottle. He uses this in Cross-Z Dragon and gains the new form we saw in the preview - Great Cross-Z or something?
Evolt and Cross-Z fight. Ryuuga now has part of Evolt inside him again so can use Magma. However, he is unable to defeat Evolt who becomes complete at last, turning into Black Hole. Pandora's Tower becomes complete and Sento returns to normal - but he does not recognise Ryuuga. He says, "who is Sento? I'm Takumi Katsuragi."
Next week: Mad Rogue appears. The preview makes it look like something bad will happen to Utsumi - it looks like he's not really possessed by Evolt (since Evolt's already complete) but the scans indicate he has somehow become alien. Interestingly, it seems that Katsuragi does not have all his memories back since he does not recognise Ryuuga. |

Now that Katsuragi is back and Sento is gone(For Now). This would be an excellent opportunity for an emotional character driven episode. I will be remiss if the forgo this opportunity for a speedy resolution. I mean think of what Sento means to Ryuuga, Sawa and Misora and now he doesn't know who they are.

^ It was already shown in the episode spoilers that he won't regain Sento's memories until episode 40 ...
I think we'll see Ryuuga's and Misora's reactions (you can see a scene in the trailer where he says "why would I ever work with you? you're part of Evolt!" to Ryuuga) and there are a couple of promo shots on the official site this week of Ryuuga and Misora glowering at Katsuragi. It would be *nice* to see Sawa and Kazumi's input too since he did develop a bond with them, but his relationship with them is slightly less important than to Ryuuga and Misora
