Okay, here is what I meant when I posted my thread about the movies' placement in the main TV storyline, and I am probably going to be speaking metaphorically here. Toei keeps constantly bashing me in the head with a leadpipe telling me that I have to watch everything in a specific order like it's a god-damn comic book or if it's like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, when the problem is, I want the movies to be treated as if they are non-cannon or if they are much like other movies such as Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the Dark Knight, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Black Panther, etc. Where the plots of those movies do not require for me to watch past movie installments just to get to this current installment, but ratger feel like the stories are self-contained in their own worlds and have very little connections to what we know of from the past events whether it's in the form of a TV show or in a movie. I.E. standalone movies. That's what I meant about "who cares anlut continuity, these days?!" in my last post. The TV storyline is fine, but when it comes to the movies, they need to have little to no tie in with the actual TV show, story-wise. That is why I don't like the idea of Toei telling me that the events of Kamen Rider Build the Movie is placed after episode 45 and before episode 46. Because, I much rather have a Kamen Rider movie be more like either the Heisei Generations movies or like Kamen Rider Ex-Aid: True Ending where the story feels like it's self-contained in it's own universe, instead of having a movie being forcibly tied in-between the main TV storyline just because the producers announced that there has to be a specific order in which the movie is placed in or where the movie needs to be placed in to fit in the main TV storyline.

^ I guess movies' placement doesn't really affect me since I always watch the Movie War either immediately before or after the secondary/tertiary rider debut and then the summer movie after the finale. As long as canon events aren't contradicted (Super Movie War Genesis, Ghost summer movie, etc.) then I'm generally cool with it. Nevertheless, I understand what you're trying to say and I agree on some level that movies shouldn't expect you to watch something else. Non-canon movies are okay as long as they're not superfluous.

I just finished watching kamen rider build the movie and here's how I would sum up my thoughts about the movie itself....
Bottom line...just skip this movie and stick with the TV show instead.

There was a screening of the Cross-Z V-cinema today. Spoilers I've seen around (Twitter): Sento and Ryuuga are living in a warehouse and survive by selling Sento's inventions. They are fans of this world's Banjou and have posters/magazines of him.
Yui (new "heroine") is a teacher and, as the promo material described, in the "old world" she and her students were taken by Faust and experimented on - there is apparently a pretty disturbing flashback that shows she was set on fire and killed. She falls for Ryuuga after he saves her and kisses his cheek
The reason Yui's, and everyone else's memories come back is because they were all at some point dosed with Nebula Gas. This should also affect other people like Kasumi and the former Smash but it seems that's not touched upon. It seems this also affects their physical condition with Yui developing burn scars from the fire, and Utsumi turning back into a cyborg - explaining why he could break the metal bar over his knee in the trailer. Ultimately, almost everyone loses their memories again except Yui, Misora, Kazumin, and Gentoku (And presumably Sawa)
Somehow the Genius Fullbottle exists ... wasn't it destroyed before? It's used to cure Sento after he is poisoned by Killbas, and later to save the lives of Yui's students
Evolt killed Ryuuga's parents in the previous world to increase his Hazard Level
Sento doesn't transform and doesn't even leave the house - preferring to ask Yui (a near-stranger) to take the Muscle Fullbottle to Ryuuga rather than go himself, not even fighting when Kazumin and Gentoku go to help. When Evolt calls Ryuuga "partner" (seen in the first trailer) Ryuuga says no, his only partner is Sento
Evolt's wanting to team up with Ryuuga is, of course, another trick and he betrays Ryuuga again. He survives the ending and heads back into space, I guess this is to leave the door open for more movies. It's reported that an Utsumi/Mad Rogue V-Cinema is being planned

I just watched Be The One. If you love continuity as much as I do, or can at least tolerate it, you may want to consider giving this movie a chance. It's pretty awesome. The golden rabbit and silver dragon Full Bottles are used to create the Cross-ZBuild Can, granting access to Sento's and Ryuuga's strongest combined form. The climactic fight against Blood beneath the earth is very similar to the one from Movie War Ultimatum with the bad guy trying to reach the bottom of a pit to destroy the planet. And the action is just as cool the second time with Cross-ZBuild being an amazing extra final form in the same league as Meteor Nadeshiko Fusion States and Type Special! The story is also a reminder of the unbreakable bond between the memorable Best Match partners. I can definitely recommend this as a KR summer movie, possibly even the best summer movie of the Heisei Rider Era.

Is Kamen Rider Build still worth watching after four years? Because I actually want to have a second opinion about this series.
