Sento manages to both purify Misora and neutralise Ryuuga. He says more stuff about Vernage's power and Ryuuga. Cross-Z again fights Katsuragi!Build and defeats him. Sento's Rabbit Fullbottle turns gold, and Shinobu says that this was caused by the requisite increase in Sento's Hazard Level. Sento declares that he'll fight his father. Next week: Kazumi and Gentoku get captured. The episode is called "The End of Evolt" but I sincerely doubt that's happening Some of the things that Shinobu has said to Sento and Ryuuga have made me wonder what his intentions really are. Moving Vernage into Ryuuga to neutralise the effects of Evolt's DNA was an interesting idea, and hopefully it will be a permanent solution. |

I have a feeling that Katsuragi has taken the role of Bloodstalk and is preparing Sento to defeat Evolt.

Recap gag is Misora doing the recap, mentioning that Kazumi and Gentoku left, and Sawa coming in with the body pillow.
Kazumi and Gentoku have gone to Hokuto but instantly get ambushed by the Hard Guardians and Utsumi, damnit Utsumi! Shinobu Katsuragi identifies them as suitable to create Lost Smash, and Evolt says soomething about his new world. Meanwhile Sento conducts tests on Ryuuga to see how he's affected by Vernage. Sento has developed the Blizzard Knuckle to counteract Evolt's power. Sawa reports that they've had a message from Kazumi and Gentoku.
Summer movie footage in the opening. Mostly suit footage and transformation scenes, including a dramatic battle between Genius and Kamen Rider Blood in the rain.
Kazumi and Gentoku are being turned into Hard Smashes. We get a flashback to last week where, after leaving Sento, Kazumi mourned his friends and he and Gentoku decided to go to Hokuto. In the present day, they escape before their transformation is complete, and try but fail to take on Utsumi. But Build and Cross-Z are already standing by. Ryuuga helps Kazumi and Gentoku escape whilst Sento takes on Mad Rogue. Shinobu!Build rocks up and fights Sento. Sento has to retreat and everyone returns to the cafe. Kazumi's Hazard Level has risen sharply, I'm not sure if he told them that he'll be killed if he is defeated? Kazumi and Sento make up over the issue of Shinobu and Sawa "celebrates" by presenting Kazumi with his Mii-tan body pillow. There's a funny scene where he's all "I really wanna snuggle it ... but the real Mii-tan is here and she'll think I'm a pervert ... what can I do?" Of course he starts kissing the pillow and the girls smack him.
Sento goes to the basement and starts worrying about his father, Misora tries to reassure him but he's not convinced. Later Ryuuga tries to use the Blizzard Knuckle but is overpowered and gets hurt. Misora warns Sento not to risk it. Sento gets a call from Evolt challenging him over the bottles but pretends to the others that nothing happened. Something Kazumi says gives him an idea (I need subs) and Sento sneaks out at night when everyone's asleep. But just as the dramatic showdown starts, the other three Riders appear. We get a cool four-way transformation. Eventually they all do their finishers and seem to have destroyed Evolt (hence the title) ... but I REALLY doubt he's gone!
Sento picks up the Lost Bottles left behind by Evolt, but Shinobu comes along and he's all "you walked right into my trap!" He has more Lost Bottles!
Next week: More Build on Build fights, father-son bonding, shenanigans with the Pandora Panel! There's a new movie trailer at the end of the ep. And of course Evolt is back next week! |

^me too it's really good show so far. except for that Saki plot part Onore Smash. she is not a lab rat as well others like Sawa (no one mess with my Sawa) and that guy who was in a band with his friend who look like Sento
i remember in one episode of Gaim, Kouta tell Lockseed Dealer Sid that they are not his lab rats that lead Sid to close his business yeah like that.

Build is set to be my favorite of Heisei Phase 2 and second favorite overall. It has the right balance of comedy and drama!

Main plot stuff this ep: Very important stuff about the black panel and Lost Bottles, though I'm not sure what. It turns out Evolt survived by possessing Utsumi; he kills Shinobu Katsuragi. Shinobu gave him a final clue, and Sento tries to search the data for it, but can't find anything. Takumi, who's obviously very upset tries to tell Sento that it's all useless, but just as Sento is starting to put things together, Evolt arrives to destroy the city. However, Sento can no longer use Genius because he does not have the emotional connection. Kazumi, who was also possessed, knocks Misora and Sawa unconscious and steals the final Lost Bottles - completing Evolt's final form and the black Pandora Panel. Sento is shown how Evolt destroyed another world by absorbing it into the black hole.
Just as all seems lost, Sento regains Genius' abilities having been inspired to fight again by remembering something Shinobu said right before the Skywall appeared, about how he wanted to protect the world. The Riders manage to get back some of the bottles from Evolt. Sento remembers his father and decides not all is lost yet. Meanwhile Evolt, as "Midou", announces that the three regions of Japan will now be ruled by "Governors" - the ones from the movie, who as we know are actually from Evolt's own race. Sento uses two card type things that Shinobu gave him to access hidden data.
Next week: Sento and the others apparently use Ryuuga's genes from Evolt to "purify" panels from the Pandora's Box, which can bring the world into an alternate timeline without Evolt. and is the only way to save the earth. He also creates a dangerous power for Kazumi that will transform his Hazard Level beyond a human's abilities. This doesn't seem to make sense with what we know about the movie, where Evolt obviouly did exist. So it seems Sento will either find another way to save earth or the movie is some kind of alternate timeline after all? (Maybe they're pulling a reverse of last year, where the Ex-Aid movie was marketed as an alternate ending but was secretly an epilogue to the show?) Edit: The Toei site says that the movie actually takes place between episodes 45-46. That explains it, and also other things (such as why Mad Rogue!Utsumi appears in the movie, why Ryuuga still contains Evolt's genes, etc.) But ... if everyone enters a timeline where Evolt didn't exist, what does that happen? Will all the dead people be revived, Ryuuga have never become a boxer, the heroes never met each other a la Ryuki? |
