Phase 4 of the MCU is going to be a hot mess even with the X-Men characters and the Fantastic Four being recasted and integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Umm why would you think mcu would be a hot mess for phrase 4. Even if they get control to use ff and xmen. Even if they do get the rights to use them in 2019. We at the earliest wouldn't see xmen or non already used ff elements in a general mcu film or an official xmen or ff marvel studios film to 2020 or 2021.
And we already know marvel pretty much already has there slate made out for 2019 to 2022ish. With spiderman 2 first of phrase 4, then we have black panther 2, guardians 3, likely captain marvel 2, doctor strange 2, antman 3. So that 5 films right there we likely will get between Nov 2019 to early half of 2021. As marvel doing 3 a year now.
Plus really ff is super easy to incorporate into the mcu as it already is and likely be post avengers 4 next yr. It would make sense for me to treat them like spidey the group isn't active and haven't gotten there powers yet. So you can explain away Ben is in military, reed and sue are scientists, Johnny can be in hs or early college counting on ages they go. And we open with there move they only recently gotten there powers and go from there just like spidey. Simple and easy way to example them off. And if folks like stark and Steve Rogers are gone post avengers 4. The ff can be the new hot super hero celebrities stick.
Now xmen ya that is a whole different beast. With magneto tied to ww2 kinda ages him off right there. Unless they would alter his history for a later time. But then the whole deal is how they would explain world fine with avengers or even the hulk. But they would hate on the x gene mutants. As we kinda had that with shield for in humans. But look at what Kevin feige and his group has done. I am sure they would do characters right.
