Ledger stepped forward, putting his hand on Mateo's Morpher. He looked at the Red Ranger, his own lowered. "Mateo. We can't," he said softly. "You know why. We can't....we can't risk it, much as we want. We have to go. Now."
"Kid's right," Samara said. "Mateo, we oughta skedaddle. Ain't got nothing to do here naymore."

"Mateo, please. Don't make the decision you'll later regret." Lalah pleaded, going to her Red teammate's side. "I understand. I really do. But as everyone say, we must leave."

When he turned his head to see the cause, he saw that it was Mateo who had his Storm Morpher pointed at the immortal's head and was very tempted to say 'screw it'.
"Put it down, Mateo. You're a time saver, not a time destroyer. You kill him and you kill every other ranger after him and you'd tear yourself to shreds with that in your mind." Leon said as he put his hand on Mateo's shoulder before turning to Dragonis shot him a cold look. "Go. Before we change our minds." Leon said in a cold voice.

Mateo shrugged off the talk from his teammates and stepped forward, walking towards Dragonis with Storm Morpher in hand.
"There's only one way someone like this will understand the consequences of his actions." The Red Ranger pulled the trigger, unleashing a blinding light that engulfed the area. When the light faded and Dragonis regained his eyesight, the Rangers were gone. Calen managed to slip away and the demon was left on the roof. After regaining his bearings, he laughed maniacally, seeing that he succeeded in destroying ZCH and killing five of the Rangers. Although something felt off, he wouldn't question this victory but little does he know, his day of reckoning is coming.

Back on The Patricia, the Rangers were transported in, with Mateo wasting no time in sitting in his captain's chair. Knowing that the others would want answers, he wasted no time in giving them out.
"Y'all can relax. The timeline is intact. The charger I shot Dragonis with was the Mind Wipe charger." He said, holding up the small cell. "It wipes the memory of those who saw us in that time so that History remains on course."

"Becuase if we knew, we ain't gonna go all out. We'd hold back, enemies know somethin' ain't right. Surprise on our side means ain't nothin' getting past to the other traveler or the guys we fight."

"Yes and no." Mateo shook his head. "That charger is in the training documents but there's so much in those things, I can understand why y'all didn't get to it yet. To be honest... I wasn't sure if I was gonna do it. Everything in me wanted to shook that dude's fuckin head off!"

"But you didn't. Took a lot of composure and level headedness. Like I stated before. There was too much on the line and I don't think you could have lived with yourself knowing what the consequences were going to be." Leon said with his arms folded.

"This makes sense. If Dragonis keeps the memory of us, it will become a recipe for disaster in accordance to Sensei earlier." Lalah said, her hands on her hips. "I must say, as painful as it is, we done the right thing to complete the mission."

Although the mission was one that left a bad taste in everyone's mouth, they were successful in accomplishing their goal. At least they could take solace in the fact that in a few short years, the fiendish demon would meet his end, doing away with his reign of terror. As for the Rangers now, it was important for them to shift focus because things would only get tougher from here.

A few weeks have passed since the Rangers traveled to the past to prevent the assassination of Dragonis and things were seemingly back to normal in terms of morale. On the bridge, Mateo was sitting in the captain's chair, reading some TMB material while things were quiet.

Samara sighed to herself, sitting in her room on the ship. She drew her knees up, laying her head against her arm as she thought. With everyone being from times further then her own turn of the century, sometimes it was hard for her to understand a lot of what her teammates were talking about. She didn't miss the odd glances from some of the others, more from Ledger and Leon then Lalah or Mateo, but it was still there.
"I ain't cut for this. All y'all look at me like I'm crazy and needin' help, but none of y'all wanna take the moment and listen to me, learn what I'm sayin' and how I'm meanin' things...I ain't sure waht I'm suppose to do..."

Ledger walked out of his room, heading for the bridge. He had a cup of coffee in hand, taking a drink and sighing as he made his way to the bridge. He saw Mateo in his chair, and he gave a bit of a smile. "Hey, Teo. Don't you ahve those books memorized by now, dude?"

"Oh hey, Ledge." Mateo leaned his head all the way back when he heard the Blue Ranger's voice. "Yeah, the material is pretty much the same but sometimes there's a change and it's like Bishop says, if you're not keeping up with history, it's bound to leave you behind."
"Annnnnnnd I stay on his ass about studying." Sensei chimed in with her holographic head emerging from the center panel.
"If it shuts her up too, that's a win win." Mateo smiled, earning some mumbling and grumbling from his companion AI.

Leon was passing through the ship when he overheard Samara's comment. He knocked outside her door and peeked in. "I....uh....was passing and overheard... I'm a pretty good listener....." Leon stated as he was stuttering over every other word cause talking to women was not his specialty.
