Time Force Delta Squad: Trapped (S2 Game)

Alluka greets the young doctors kindly, also watching Kari doing her best not to flail excitedly as she greets them. At least it gives her Pink teammate temporary joy.

After saying hello to the doctors, Cody began gazing around the medical facility with awe. But the awe has fade the moment he notice Rolo going over to Wes to ask him.

"Um... Wes, can we go see the lab? I want to know how different it is compare to the ones I used to visit with my dad. He's a scientist who worked at the Bio Lab." Rolo asks timidly.

Dr. Serizawa smiled, looking at Kari. "You're welcome to come any time you'd like," she said.

"Yeah, one of us is always here," Dr. Frost said with a smile, patting Kari's shoulder.

Wes looked at Rolo, raising an eyebrow. "Sure. It's just down the hall this way," he said. "Kari, you're welcome to stay here or come with us."

Kari nodded at the two doctors before turning to her friends. "I think I should stay with the group for now, then come back when we've learned everything we can." She said with a nod.

"So Wes, do you have a Training Room that is safe for people with powers? It is just half of our team have abilities from other kinds." Alluka asks kindly. "And also are there any living arrangements for all of us?"

Cody wonder if he'll ever remember the glimpses about his brother and his lab. Other than his journal and numerous photos, he barely recall the rest. So for him to see Rolo looking at the laboratory from the entrance, he kinda hopes it can not only reconnect with his brother's memory but also give Rolo a sense of comfort. He misses his dad after all.

"Are we able to go inside?" Rolo asks quietly.

Cody stares at his nephew, biting the inside of his mouth. "Do you want to?"

"Do you want to?" Rolo repeats the question, his eyebrows furrowed.

"You're the one who wants to go here." Cody reminds him. "I rather stay with everyone else."

"Yeah, well. I want to visit here because I want to know what it looks like before Dad ever works here." Rolo points out with a pout before he crossed his arms. "Not to mention, you even work for him."

Cody doesn't think so. Of all the jobs he partake, scientist is not one of them. Even though he never works for Ephraim, he does oversees his work. He wonders if he'll tell Rolo the truth, but then it will lead to heartbreak. "Just briefly. Not in the way you believe." He answers gently. "I did check his experiments. He allowed me to give input. Unfortunately, I was busy with my other job."

"Oh." Rolo blinks, beginning to understand his uncle's words. His pout forms into a thin line. "I thought... you work with him because you visit him all the time. But I guess I forgot you have other things to do. Sorry."

"It's alright. I... " Cody runs his hair in exasperation, unsure how to explain his nephew without the fear of breaking his heart. After a moment, he exhales enough to focus on the original topic. "Do you still want to go in?"

Rolo nods back, giving him an understanding smile. "Yeah. Let's do it."

With that said, they enter the laboratory.

Wes watched as Sojiro, Cody and Rolo walked away to different areas of the base, sighing to himself. He looked at Alluka, nodding. "I'll show you the training room," he said. "As for living arrangements, I keep a few places available for our men and women. I'll show you guys when everyone regroups, seeing as your team just walked away to do their own thing."

"Sounds reasonable to me." Alluka agrees before she glances at Kari and Tanjiro. "Let us go there. Maybe there is also a Simulation Deck while we are on our way as well."

Looking over as the two walked into the lab, Dr. Persephone Maitrane stood from her workstation and walked over. "Ah, hello. You must be the new visitors Commander Collins mentioned. The Rangers from the future."

"Well, one of five and a nephew at the moment. My friends are with Wes." Cody answers casually before he introduces. "I'm Cody Thoumeaux and this is my said nephew, Rolo. We're here to look around."

"Hi." Rolo greeted politely to Dr. Persephone. Then he becomes awed upon seeing various laboratory experiments. "Wow! Are these your creations!? That's so cool!"

"I see. I suppose it requires tools from a later time in order for the Simulation Deck to be completed. At least the Training Room will provide enough space for me and Soujiro to use. We are the only ones with powers as of now." Alluka answers understandably, her eyes lower briefly at the thought. "I do wonder if Circuit and the WaveRunner are remained safe outside. I am concerned over them."

"That's interesting." Cody responds, observing the prototype morpher and the colored gems. "They remind me of the ones I checked in the archives. Unfortunately, it contains little to no information since they decide to keep it classified for students in Time Force Academy."

"At least here, we'll be able to figure things out. Sometimes the future has holes that need to be filled with information. Right?" Rolo chimed in.

"True. You know what they say, life is full of surprises." Cody agrees thoughtfully until his eyes look up to Dr. Persephone. "Has anyone ever tested this morpher, Doctor?"

Persephone smiled, nodding at Rolo. "Yes. I've tried it myself," she said. "Sometimes it'll work, but other times it shorts out and sends a shock into my arm. Still working out the bugs. Maybe I'll get it working soon. Never know."

Sojiro had been looking around for a while until he stopped where he saw Dr. Persephone with Rolo and he knocked on the door, "Hello. Am I interrupting anything?" he asked.
