Kamen Rider Build Discussion Thread

The OP sequence and recap jokes are back this week.

Mad Rogue easily stomps Rogue and Gentoku is seriously injured. Grease steps in to take a blow for Ryuuga, and transports the heroes + Katsuragi to safety. Ryuuga continues to have flashbacks to the destruction of Mars; Misora notices something's up, but he lies about it and leaves. Katsuragi declares that he'll have to kill Ryuuga because Ryuuga is part of Evolt. Ryuuga sees more images of Mars and is angry, remembering how Evolt said "you're still part of me" which Ryuuga does not want to be. Sawa patches up Gentoku and they talk about Utsumi and the Nanba Children. Gentoku believes that Utsumi really was a good person, and regrets shooting him in episode 12. Utsumi still hates Gentoku and resolves to kill him (so, yeah, I think it most likely Utsumi will die - since it's already spoiled that Gentoku will survive the show.)

Misora is woken up by the sound of the fridge when Katsuragi uses it to create the Genius Fullbottle. He does the whole "ain't I awesome? ain't I a genius?" routine, so he does have some similarities to Sento. He starts spouting off about Ryuuga and Misora defends Ryuuga, insisting that Sento/Katsuragi and Ryuuga were really friends. She says "Why can't you believe in your friends any more?" Meanwhile, at some point earlier in the day Kazumi is shown attacking Ryuuga and they fight untransformed. They talk about the Hazard Levels and Kazumi says that none of them are human any more. Ryuuga is concerned about his connection to Evolt and it seems that the Evolt Bottle is having an effect on him.

Seito invades Touto again and Utsumi rocks up with some of the Hard Guardians. Grease and Cross-Z try to fight back but are, of course, useless against Mad Rogue. Gentoku wants to get up and fight as well despite being injured. He calls out to Katsuragi and says some stuff I can't understand but is obviously very important. He collapses and Katsuragi is obviously affected by what he said. Katsuragi confronts Mad Rogue and transforms into Build. Katsuragi tries, but struggles, to power up into Genius Form. Cross-Z steps in and declares that he'll fight for what Sento stood for, because Sento is a hero of justice. Mad Rogue uses his finisher and seriously injures Ryuuga. He attempts to strangle Ryuuga and says that Ryuuga's ideals of a hero are worthless.

Katsuragi/Sento recalls how Evolt tried to strangle him and Ryuuga fought to save him; and Gentoku's words from earlier. He regains Sento's memories as well as Katsuragi's. There's a symbolic scene where Sento and Katsuragi talk and touch hands (mirroring the scene in the OP) before Katsuragi is absorbed into Sento. Sento declares that "the hero of justice has returned" and Ryuuga is happy to have his best friend back. Sento transforms into Genius for the first time.

Next week: Kazumi is kidnapped and Sento travels to Hokuto to rescue him. Tajimi (the Hokuto Prime Minister) and the lady in eps 3-4 who helped Ryuuga and Sawa get a ferry to Hokuto return. No trailer for the summer movie yet, but there was a short ad with the cast showing off the little pre-order toys

Build Genius Form defeats Mad Rogue, with the new Kamen Rider Girls insert making its debut. But Evol re-appears and steals Kazumi's bottles that the Trio gave him. After some suspicion from the girls, Sento convinces them he really is Sento and now has both his own and Katsuragi's memories. There's some talk about the missing "Lost Bottles". Gentoku comes in and shows off a new look, deciding it's time he changed his style.

Sento goes to the seashore and thinks about the Lost Bottles. He remembers a connection to Shinobu Katsuragi's (Takumi's father) research data. Ryuuga and Kazumi show up and discuss going to Hokuto to retrieve the Lost Bottles, but Sento doesn't want Ryuuga to go. Sento heads to Hokuto with Kazumi. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Tajimi is converted into a Smash by Utsumi and Evolt. Sento goes to Mrs Katsuragi's now-empty house and browses through his father's stuff. Katsuragi's memories warn Sento that "the Lost Bottles are the devil's bottles!" He finds a picture of the woman from episode 3 - the child's mother who took Sawa and Ryuuga into Hokuto.

Kazumi infiltrates Evolt's lab but is caught and experimented on. Back at nascita, Gentoku trials several new outfits with the girls. Sento discusses his findings with Ryuuga and Sawa, it seems the woman has some connection to Katsuragi's father. Utsumi releases Kazumi, who fights back and manages to warn Sento to run. Kazumi fights off several Guardians and makes a break for it, only to be confronted by Smash!Tajimi. He is weakened by whatever Utsumi did to him, but Sento arrives just in time to help him. They fight the Smash. Mad Rogue rocks up as well and joins in. Kazumi is taken down and affected by Evolt's power. He looks at the Trio's tags and decides that he can't give up.

Build and Mad Rogue fight. Kazumi powers up using a Bottle Ryuuga lent him (I missed which one), and Mad Rogue realises that Kazumi's Hazard Level is rapidly increasing. Tajimi is returned to her human form, and Grease and Build manage to knock Mad Rogue out of his transformation. Grease helps Tajimi and she seems to return to her old self. She cries when she realises what's happened. Tajimi and Sento retrieve one of the Lost Bottles, but Evol shows up YET AGAIN. He warns Sento about the power of the bottles and says something about how he (Evolt) will create a new world. At the docks, Ryuuga and Sawa question the woman about her involvement with Katsuragi's father. She implies that Shinobu Katsuragi is somehow alive.

Next week: Collecting all the Lost Bottles will cause "a phenomenon beyond all known physical laws." There's some more stuff about Isurugi, his relationship with Misora and his connection to Shinobu Katsuragi.
