I can't comment on the first episode until it's made available on kissasian. But where's the list that confirms Kirama Silver, and do we know if the Silver Ranger is male or female?

I'm waiting on Kissasian to have it, too. Though Episode 0 is on it. But the subtitles are way off! It reminds me of whoever the hell did the subtitles for Abaranger, which turned "Aba" into "Tyranno", and Ryuki, which turned "Final Vent" into "Befall".

After watching Kirameiger episode 2 preview I gotta ask what is it with female green rangers and saying, “I’ll never accept a guy like you?”

Check the link I posted on page 14 of the pre-discussion thread. As for male or female, don't know yet but probably male.

^6th is likely male anyways like all the past 6th rangers. I think Toei rather keeps it to 2 female rangers in a core 5 team sentai series. Perhaps the only way for a 6th ranger to be female in a sentai series, if the core 5 only had 1 female ranger but....although the 6th has always been male anyways. I wonder if Toei isn't really interested in having a female be the 6th ranger and rather just have the 6th ranger be male only.

^ There was actually a female sixth in Go-Onger but she was paired with another male sixth. Statistics definitely favor male sixths though so anybody hoping for a female sixth is very likely to be disappointed. It's the same reason why there are no female primary or secondary riders. Ultimately, the demographic isn't gender equal due to male fans outnumbering female fans, so Toei have incentive to give more prominence to males than females. We should presume every new sixth is male by default unless proven otherwise.

Exactly. And people who try to do gender balanced, mostly or all female teams need to consider this, too.

↑ I watched the first episode and.....it's good. But I'm pretty much dissapointed for how this thing of the Kiramentality is handled, and somehow the KiramaRed/Juuru, is "special". When the princess Mabushina started the explanation of "my father, the King, had the same power....yadda-yadda-yadda", I rolled my eyes so hard. Geez, I understand the whole "Imagination" thing, or how they choose people with "Kiramentality" or something, but why the Red Ranger has to be special? I don't have the problem of the Kiramentality, even if the word reminds me of Nintality, a stupid concept and bring me bad memories of Ninninger, in this setting of magic, it could better, but, come on, if everybody of the team had this "Kiramentality" thing, why Juuru has to be the only one creating the Zords/Mechas and stuff? Ugh. Major dissapointment in that part. The action was pretty good, and I liked the design of the monster.

It's a little early to be disappointed about the Kiramental. It just started. More will be revealed.

I just watched Episode Zero the prologue movie and episode 1.
Not a lot to complain about here, this was a pretty good start, so I'll do the nitpicking first and save the best for last.
The uniforms are unnecessary, considering the rangers were already wearing color coded outfits that reflected their personalities a lot more.
The weird i that Over-Time put at the end of Kirama. It's small enough to overlook though.
The prologue movie was a great way to introduce the non-red rangers, much like how Strongest Battle was used to introduce Ryusoul Black and Green. Maybe that was the Insparklation for the idea. Considering how much focus red rangers typically get, it makes sense to focus on the others earlier so they don't get overshadowed later.
Juru reminds me more of Ryuutaros than Machine Fire does. How did Suzumura get so deep?! Anyway, Juru is my favorite so far. He's so enthusiastic and intuitive, he created the Kirama Stones' Machine forms and the Kirama Buster gattai and he has a cool catchphrase to show sudden bursts of insight like Shinnosuke from Kamen Rider Drive. That's 4 consecutive immediately likable reds. He also has no idea who Tametomo is, which I find amusing. If Kakihara is a recurring character, she might be his love interest.
I think Sena is the second official ranger to wear legwarmers since Ranru. Also, this is another green ranger with emphasis on speed. Sena vs Towa: Who would win? Let's wait for the crossover to find out!
Tametomo gets annoyed that Juru chooses his Machine based on color instead of his skillset, but it makes sense if you think about it. As a gamer, his skillset is too broad to define a specific vehicle from any of the dozens of playable vehicles in video games. That's literally all of their Machines and more. Ironically, an excavator is probably the least common playable vehicle though so Tametomo does have a point.
Sayo is a famous doctor with a warm and friendly demeanor who is also a pink superhero, just like EX-Aid! She seems like the heart of the team that will hold them together.
Shigure is kind of generic serious guy but he's cool and hopefully just needs a few focus episodes to develop him.
This is the second season since Kakuranger where 3 of the rangers' names start with S, my favorite letter of the Roman alphabet.
Finally, we know what that red sport car was, Fire's prototype Machine form before Juru decided he should be a fire truck.
Garza is a Stonehead just like Mabusheena and Oradin, his niece and big bro respectively, which means he must have a mysterious backstory since he wants to destroy sparkly things. The tyrannosaurus Machine (Toei really don't want to let dinosaurs go, huh?) is the same color as his head, so I'm guessing he has the same power of creation as Juru and Oradin. Interesting that Juru has a picture of him. I wonder how they're connected.
Looking forward to seeing the OP next episode.

The uniforms are another way to sell merchadise. After all, they sell the civilian uniforms in Japan, too. The whole "the Yellow Ranger always has a construction's work vehicle, or heavy machinary, so let's give him one, even if he is a gamer" was kinda hilarious, and somewhat like a meta-joke in the franchise. Has more sense than Blue having a Jet Plane, being him an actor, but he is known to play Samurai parts, and he knows swordmanship, or kendo, so it fits (the Jet Plane gonna be the "controversial" sword in the Five-part mecha). Also, the Jet have apparently sharp wings.

Caught episode 1 w/ subs. I'll just stick with colors for both gem and ranger since they are still fairly new.
Red as an artist makes the shonen aspect quite likable. His gem provides a good source of confidence, especially when being so sure of him being the one worthy of his power.
Blue comes off as pretty cold so hopefully he will get some of the first development episodes. His gem being the little bro type reminds me of Abaranger, so hopefully blue gets the same level of development
Yellow being an e-sport gamer is not likable to me. I guess its due to the fact that most gamers aren't the sharp shooters they think they are. His gem being an angry old man type does go well with him though.
Green seems to be the most open of the original four, so she'll probably have the best relationship w/ red. I like that her gem has a protector/knight mentality.
Pink definitely exudes style, and it is cool to see a familiar toku face. I like that her gem has a bubbly side, makes it a good foil to her smart analytical side.
Overall, pretty good characterwise. Can't wait for their sixth to show up!

Anyone else think that episode 2 will begin where episode 1 ended?

I finally watched the first episode last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I see a bit of myself in Juru. Namely with the creativity. Just wish I could draw! I dug how the gems loved their new forms that Juru chose for them. And Juru having famous friends is like me as well since I got some famous friends, too. Namely cosplayers.
Can't wait to adapt this! All ready got names for the Rangers picked out! And that scientist guy, too! They got a Transformers G1 theme!
