Jonathan Frakes (William T. Riker) has gone on record saying he was nervous about getting back in front of the camera, having focused on directing for so long. To me, the look on Riker's face when he sees Picard for the first time in who knows how long shows that Frakes still has it.

Yeah, I'm a little worried that it's now gone through three showrunners and the second season has only just been commissioned. This is on shaky ground. I'd have preferred this to have been just a mini-series personally. |

Hey showrunners come an go on franchise all the time. And a new person could be good. We will see once show drops and then come 2nd season.

Ya I enjoyed it too. It's interesting to see the state of earth and federation after the whole romulans stuff. I did like the dreams Picard had with data. Curious to learn what up with others from tng too in time. Also the reveal of dahj/soji ties interesting. And what is up with the Romulans with borg......
