Just to add in my two cents, this kind of thing has been going on for years, years prior to even having Trump in office here in the US. These issues have been going on with TV shows and movies here for years.
I mean, take into account when MMPR first appeared in the 90s, people called out Power Rangers in being racist because of them having Walter Jones who is black be the Black Ranger, and Thuy Trang who was Vietnamese be yellow. Those people that complained didn't know these few things(mainly due to there not being any real internet back in the day) One of them being that they had both audition for those roles by choice and second, had no realization that it was an adaptation of a show from Japan.
The episode of Sun and Moon being banned is pretty much the same reason as for not dubbing and airing the Ice Cave episode from the third season as Jinx as still in its original color and was in the majority of the episode as in this one, the issue that surrounds this episode not getting dub is due to Ash having black face paint on for half of this episode.
I agree that it is a stupid reason for it being dub as they probably never even consider if it would cause an conversational issue or not. But, like CD said, any type of talk about politics should be left out completely in any conversation here, whether or not you're trying to point something out Purple.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone actually complain/get offended by the OG Rangers casting choice. Most people’s reaction is to scoff/laugh at the oversight by the producers. It’s more along the lines of “Lolololol Power Rangers was so racist hahaha” not “Wow this is some racist garbage” At any rate the casting call specifically asked for the character of Zach to be by played by a black actor. HOWEVER this was because the show was originally adapting Bioman which had a Green Ranger and all Saban did was move the names over and eventually change the name Victor to Jason . So a character intended to be a black guy as a green ranger became a black guy as a black ranger. Just an oversight. And Trini was cast for any ethnicity in mind (and originally played by a white actress for the Bioman pilot) and then originally played by a Latina actress when the show was retooled to adapt Zyuranger and then replaced by an Asian actress when the first actress wanted more money. You can make the argument the characters were portrayed stereotypically but ehhhh I won’t touch that one None of this of course is comparable at all to Jynx who looks like a stereotypical depiction of black people and did actually create a controversy more than just “lol well that’s kinda racist haha” Not surprising they pulled her episode from rotation and had her colored purple for all future apperance There’s an uncomfortable racial history of blackface in America to degrade African Americans . I’m not surprised The Pokemon Company International refused to air it. I'm more surprised the Japanese animators made the episode especially how hyper aware they seem to be of Pokemon as an international hit. |

I got my codes for Kyogre yesterday, one for Sun and one for UltraSun. I have yet to use them since I"ve been playing a lot of Hyrule Warriors Legends and Fire Emblem Warriors.

Usually the eeveelutions come in pairs, with one being the weakness of the others. It's a bit of rumor, but it wouldn't be surprising if they shelved it. Imagine if Sylveon was the non-weakness one, then we could have gotten a steel or poison eevee.
