The cutbbacks on DC titles have already begun, here's what we know (click the link and scroll the comments for additional info) All-Ages/YA titles (Zoom/Ink) are safe, as are the 100 page giant format....however, the Wal-Mart exclusive line has been cancelled. 100 Page Giants will continue, but will be made available in ALL stores. The format will still be new stories with reprinted material, but there will be 48 pages of new content added There will also be a reduction in collected editions.

So this week HiC was the definition of padding with 3 stories, Wally's which really feels like a spit in the face of Rebirth especially with something like Titans which was a very much more hopeful attitude he displayed in that book, Harley Quinn's which continues to show how stupid it was to give an Eco-terrorist & a Murderous Government Stooge reservation in Sanctuary, & finally Gnarrk's who's ultimately pointless at the end of the day. Also Booster apparently murdered Wally but really The Trinity are responsible for all the deaths at the end of the day.

Well, Barry and Iris are done once more in The Flash, and since the writing appears to be on the wall for Ollie/Dinah, that means we're now down to just Steve/Diana and whatever the hell passes for Lois/Clark these days in Bendis-land as far as couples go. This feels like it was a mandate given it contradicts how Williamson has written Iris in the last few months. However, the epilogue implies that some force is making DC heroes act out of character, which was a clear author's saving throw if ever I saw one to make people feel better after reading the issue (just like the negative speed force was used to excuse Iris falling out with Barry last time also). Hopefully with Bruce on the case in the future it can be fixed once the year of the villain passes.
Amazing Spider-Man got Hunted off to a good start, with Kraven's clones all killed by one surviving version (maybe the Kraven from Squirrel Girl was killed too), and poor Billy Connors being adbucted, it was nice seeing MJ nursing a sick Peter and nagging him for going out to look for Billy only to promise to wait for him to come home, just like old times. She also admits she can't cook her aunt's favourite chicken noodle recipe and had to microwave it.

man that sucks for dc fans wanting x and y together and all that. Really makes you wonder if there is a mandate what the heck is up. Same how it was over in marvel land for awhile/ And things only getting back on track with some characters.

Didio hates heroes having fulfilled and stable relationships. He prefers them defined by tragedy. Certain pairings are too iconic and problematic to get rid of like Lois and Clark, so Bendis has to make them act like a "modern unit" with an aged up kid to get any mileage out of an independent Superman. Mera and Arthur are only separated by an amnesia plot and a nod to the book Penelope, but with a movie sequel three years away they can probably have a hard break up and reconcile just in time for that. Diana and Steve are probably safe because the WW sequel is right around the corner.

Cosmicbooknews is a full of shit site. A bunch of neckbeards that praddled on & on about how Sam Alexander was the worst Nova because Ricard Rider is the only Nova despite that Nova is a knock-off of Green Lantern. There just as bad as BoundingintoComics except with probably less hateful bigotry.

They raise good points actually, and they quote Brian Hibbs, a well respected retailer, and Van Sciver, who's one of the more tolerable comicgaters, on the dirty pool tactics Marvel have been playing. The industry is in trouble.

Bullshit. These are the same stupid fucks that had such a bias towards the then direction of Marvel Cosmic that they slandered writers & boycotted just to say "See shit dudn't sell" if anything this is what leads into their doom & gloom nonsense & they only themselves to blame.
Industry been in trouble since the dawn of the Internet this ain't news & spoiler warning it ain't gonna change.

Ya I know I every once in awhile visit just to see what stupid bs crap they are saying. They are just as bad as comicbookmovie.com was. Makes me wonder how this site can still be going.
As for sales pretty much every company has its ups and downs months on a given year. And like you guys said above there always been those oh comics are going to end and die. But oh look still here and still going.

We're still going, but at what cost? Multiple variants, multiple relaunches, markets flooded, cut backs, firings, it's been accelerating lately, and it's not a good look.
Denial must be fun for you guys, but you gotta open those eyes sometime.
