Ya that is a weak excuse. Though we do know in the retcon after Peter identity went back in bottle that he did still unmask during original civil war. Just with all the in story way I'd went back folks don't remember who was spidey.

Best 616 Spider-Man issue of the year, probably the best in a number of years actually.
Just hoping this actually sticks for a long time.
Also it's probably the first significant thing to happen to Peter in years that wasn't written by Slotto Blocktavius (yes, I watch Capn Cummings)
Loved Batman..Talia pulled no punches in her sword fight with Bruce, and now she's gonna face Selina next issue!

Man I was totally shock to hear that news after I got out if work yesterday. I didn't expect that. Makes you wonder what characters or book he will do at dc. I heard from folks could be the likes of ww, swamp thing, zatanna. As we know he not likely to touch super or bat books as they got long term guys on them. But for marvel boy what that going to do with the ironman, Jessica jones, miles spidey, etc... other books at marvel and the marvel icon creator stuff he does.

I would hope he isn't leaving cause of stuff like that. Bc tends to have those bad scoops from time to time. But who knows if there is any real big issues. At least from public face looks like things are good between him and marvel. And at this day and age almost every one flip flops between the different companies here and there. So I am sure maybe after his current DC contract goes he could return to marvel or do both.
