Marvel in their infinite ineptitude revealed that Mary Jane and Paul are married in the recap page rather than reveal it in the story. Felicia and Peter go to a spa and find MJ and Paul are there. MJ is envious of Peter's cat-themed boxer shorts and remarks that Paul's underwear is 'cuter', Felicia tells Peter she knows he still loves MJ and wants to know why they fell out so they can further their own relationship. Peter is hesitant. White Rabbit and Kareem are on the scene as well as The Sinister Six.

I mean I've been burned out on a lot of comics recently. I haven't really been reading Spider-man since the Beyond stuff wrapped, & the current stuff I hear has just had me shake my head & go "Zeb Wells you're a good writer what are you doing man?" The future Epic Collections though are starting up the Clone Saga so....that's going to be fun/hell.
I mean what else is there to talk about? I refuse to acknowledge AoS:JK because it just goes to show Taylor does not care about Jon at all if his big marketing for it is "we're tossing in Injustice!", & it's really got me uninterested in his upcoming Titans book as a result. I've also just gone on a personal vendetta against Every & all Batman book which is why I'm not talking about Lazurus Planet (beyond it's asinine "read through one-shots" idea).
There just hasn't been a lot of big shake ups in books I like.

From the interviews he's given, Zeb wants to do something 'controversial' because he feels he's never pissed off a reader before Turns out Nick Lowe may have been 100% behind the idea Zeb went with, and he seems pretty deflated and resigned to the fact it's awful. Zeb's phoned it in, there's been course corrections everywhere, the story isn't quite as visceral as it ought to have been, everyone's been spinning their plates before the car crash that is the mystery's three-month resolution. I haven't been reading the book much either, Lost Hunt is the real canon to me, Peter is still powerless and living in Portland with MJ and their soon-to-be-baby and everything afterwards is just a bad dream. Even if you still count post-OMD, Spencer's run was as good an ending as you're going to get for that. As for the Epic Collections...haven't they already collected the Clone Saga more than enough times? I'd much rather they finish off the Spider-Girl collections so I can be done with the 'original' Spider-Man story. |

I don't mean I think it's all been great. There stuff I liked on asm along with other spider titles miles venom and so forth. All the asm runs I have read there always been issues or archs I not a fan of. But I liked some stuff. Like the tombstone arch that I thought was ok. The mj and her new guy not a fan of that storyline. Then of course dragging out what happened to Peter and her for over a dam year. And some of the hobgoblin arch was nice.

I am kinda interested in the Gold Goblin stuff. Mostly because I'm giddy at the ticking time bomb of GG's return. Like I like the whole "Norman is back to being a decent human without the Goblin" thing but you know it's only a matter of time. Given Dark Web having Madalyn Pryor in it with demon stuff is there any hint that Green Goblin's resurfacing?

Miles I think has'nt had it much better in recent months, though the Ziglar stuff has been a bit of an improvement, it doesn't seem like Miles has a direction. I agree with DJ in that Cantwell is the best writer of the current era with his Gold Goblin comic. |

Ya again like any book there is good and bad in most. All you can hope for is things are good. Or if bad they change it up and what not. Or I hope for good art even during bad storylines of titles. Just sucks more if story sucks and art sucks too. As for asm when ever web run is over I not sure who I like to see take over title.

Any attempts at "most shocking" peaked in the 90s when Aunt May died and that didn't last, and OMD (the real "last shocking change") essentially killed the essence of the character and guaranteed that almost nothing counts going forward because it's essentially an alternate reality which walks back on all it's shocking changes all the time. |
