Justice League Incarnate nears it end this week with some big retconning. We learn that the Great Darkness is this all encompassing mass of entropy that has really been behind every crisis (screw you Perpentua!) & that Empty Hand has constructed the Oblivion Machine to be the opposite of the Miracle Machine to destroy the Multiverse all the while Darkseid has been planning to defeat the Empty Hand....which he proceeds to get his teeth kicked in. Also Thomas dies but I doubt it's permanent given the Flashpoint Beyond book.

Amazing Spider-Man#88
Maxine informs Ben (still mind-wiped), that Janine/Elizabeth has left the Beyond premises. After checking in on her Queen Goblin project, Maxine talks about diversifying the Beyond portfolio so it can control the superhero and supervillain medium. Queen Goblin is fully armed and breaks out of her confinement, going after Mary Jane and Janine/Elizabeth. Janine talks to MJ, saying she felt as if the world never truly wanted Ben and her to be together, and being envious of all the good things MJ had with Peter that were denied to her and Ben. The Queen Goblin attacks, but Ben distracts her. Suddenly, because he now lacks the 'responsibility' part of his tampered memories, Ben decides to flee with Janine, leaving MJ to confront the Goblin alone

Reckoning War Alpha: All Hell breaks loose. The Badoon begin an invasion of Earth & destroy the moon, She-Hulk see's The TVA to learn that they can't do shit, Silver Surfer learns Eternity is poisoned & has to find a way to cure him & The F4 find Uatu's computer to learn that this "Reckoning War" was a because of the Watcher botching their first contact with an alien species & now they're back for....well a Reckoning.

More importantly will this actually be a team or still just "Conan's weird road trip" like the last series? Also I guess we'll bee seeing what the hell happened to Flash after King in Black so that's good.

Steven Wacker, who co-ordinated the Brand New Day and early Slott eras of ASM amongst supervising other major Marvel titles throughout the 2010s that included Fraction's Hawkeye and the relaunch of Captain Marvel udner Kelly Sue DeConnik, has left the company after fifteen years comicbook.com/marvel/news/marvel-editor-steven-wacker-leaves/I have no love for the guy, but I'd credit him largely with being the reason Slott was even tolerable as a writer back then. |

Issue six is the last DC title on the list at number 47 by Units, and dead last at number 50 by Dollars. One can believe Taylor's more positive sales spin on twitter all they want, but it's not any comic writer's job to sell you reality. Sucks for PKJ, the failure of Action Comics alas shows that nobody will fork over good money for a GOOD and well thought out Superman story either |
