Didnt his wife and kid die during shred story in asm. no his wife died in that ugly comic & he lost custody of Billy (There was also this dumb retcon that Curt Conner faked the Lizard being a split personality which was ignored). Shed was where Billy was killed by Lizard & That began the crazy Conner/Lizard hybrid stuff for awhile in Slott's run. |

The Defenders may be ending this week, but there will be another series sometime in the summer bleedingcool.com/comics/marvels-defenders-will-return-in-summer-2022/Amazing Spider-Man#86 Maxine Danger threatens Janine, Ben talks to Kafka about his trust issues and learns Ashley doesn't trust Beyond either. Unbeknownst to Kafka, Beyond are listening in. Kafka reveals to Ben that Beyond tampered with his memories to erase the knowledge he was a clone as he revealed to them he had been corrupted due to his ressurections, which would conflict with Beyond wanting their Spider-Man to have a squeaky clean image. Maxine orders Ben's mind to be erased again, but the process goes wrong and leaves Ben unhinged! Also, Ben Reilly#1 managed to be even bigger than ASM today in regards to revelation 1. Mary Jane's pregnancy absolutely did happen post-OMD 2. Ashley Kafka was aware of Peter's identity, and helped him deal with the trauma of 'discovering' he was a clone |

My best guess is something happens to Anna Watson, because Aunt May is mad at Peter too in this run and Anna's her best friend. MJ would be justifiably angry if her family was finally affected by Peter's screw ups.
That said, Spencer's run made it impossible to take any break-up seriously ever again. Their love can exorcise demons, ain't no way any ordinary or extraordinary thing can do it.
