The premiere is scheduled for Sunday, September 24 at 8:30 PM Eastern. Let's hope that football coverage doesn't run too long.

Well first episode just finished airing on CBS proper. Overall interesting start. I like the theme and opening credits. Characters seem interesting. And curious to see where they going with these klingons. As I am still not a fan of the redesign.

I really wonder what Mike Westmore thinks of these Klingons. Oh my gosh.

Any one watch episode 3. I thought it was a solid episode. Interesting way Michael joins discovery crew. And some strange things going on in that ship.

How is the new show? I haven't had a chance to watch it yet but I have been a Trekkie for years.

Well for me it's an enjoyable show interesting characters and plots. Like I said really my only issue is the klingons redesign and being in the tos Era shouldn't look like that. Then of course some design choices being super modern and slick. When I would have liked a more mix of enterprise and tos design look to fit better continuity wise. Or they should have just put the show in the Klevin timeline. Or what I had hope when first said it be back to prime universe to be set some time post star trek nemesis so we could use modern cgi and sets to look more fitting in late 24th/early 25th. Then 23rd century.

I heard they redid the Klingons again from the way they use to be. Where exactly does this series fall in the timeline among the shows?

I haven't seen the show, but all the commercials for it spouted out "Ten years before Kirk". So the timeline is:
Enterprise ->Discovery->The Original Series->-The Next Generation->Deep Space Nine->Voyager
I honestly want a series set after Voyager to continue the franchise in later years. I'm tired of prequel crap all the time.

The time line is simple it's prime university 23rd center and ten years before kirk took command of the enterprise so 2255ish if I am correct. So show is set around the time from the cage to episode was so pike is in command of enterprise. For me with the klingons if they at least gave them some hair they wouldn't be so dam odd looking. Having them all bald just doesn't look right.
