Black widow Date official moved: comicbook.com/marvel/2020/04/03/eternals-release-date-black-widow-delayed-coronavirus/Well totally expected this happening. So with widow taking eternals Nov slot. I bet eternals which had finished filming and still in post production(at home work). They will probably take Shang chi Feb slot now. As Shang chi had halted production. And as doctor strange 2, spiderman 3 and Thor 4 where all due to start production this summer. There may, july, Nov 2021 slots will likely be moving. So if productions can still get going this summer for those films and Shang. We will likely see ds 2 may slot go to Shang chi, then counting when thor/spiderman/strange can get to filming. Will probably affect if all 3 of them can happen in 2021 or if 1 or 2 get moved into 2022.

At this point, it's wishful thinking on their end. This virus is going to linger for a long time, and humans aren't into producing miracles at a brisk pace. They should just take the L and dump it on Disney+.

They should just take the L and dump it on Disney+. I'm with you but I'll be goddamned if they try to pull that "30 dollars premium" bs again like they did with Mulan. It's a Marvel film people are gonna see it regardless & you don't need to bleed the viewership any more than what a regular VoD costs.

Ya I wouldn't want to do plus premium deal. As for bumping films sure it blows. And really Shang and eternals hosed most. But you can see why they decided to go with another delay. As biggest us markets new York state and California regular theaters are still not allowed to open. And really who's to say come may next year covid still could be less of a big issue. Eventually things will have to get back to more normal things. And what not. As eventually this virus will probably turn into more like a common cold and flu where folks do die from yearly and not die from. Plus of course if or when ever mass vaccines happened.
Also marvel isn't first studio this year to delay films up to a year later. Look at Sony or universal films got delayed by a year. Plus in some films cases some still have re shoots or maim filming to do. An d not all productions are back up and running. Plus we know some studios want theater runs for films. As it would make more money vs going to a service or ppv.
