its already been stated the film is set majority between civil war and infinity war. But i wouldnt be surprised if we also get origin aspects/flashbacks to her time in the red room and before she join shield.

First trailer has drop:

I’ll be honest, that trailer didn’t excite me. I think part of is knowing a) we already know she’s going to survive and save the day, cuz it’s a prequel and then b) she ends up dead so what’s even the point? This should have been a Phase One film.

It would have been in e if we did get it earlier in franchise. But would folks really cares then vs now. And sure even though it set between other films. Doesn't ruin the stories we can learn about nat. Plus really if this is more then just a one off film. We have all the time between civil war to infinity war this is set between. Or any time in the 5 year gap before endgame. Plus ya it is likely also going to be a passing torch story with the blonde widow to become a key player in future films.
