I know I'm in the minority here but I don't have much problem with the era. -Minus some minor acting issues, I honestly enjoyed both Samurai and Super Samurai. The story was pretty good with the addition of Deker. I don't mind how close it is to Shinkenger because there have been past seasons that are also very close to their Sentai. The characters are okay, even if they're close to their Sentai counterparts (minus a few acting issues). -Megaforce is honestly a tolerable season. Yes, its lazy, over reliant on Japanese footage, poorly written, and badly acted, its not as irritating as it was originally. The story was basic but Mighty Morphin's story was pretty basic as well. The characters need improvement and development but honestly I don't hate them. Yes, even Troy. Super Megaforce is a trainwreck but over the years I've calmed down, re-watched it and its honestly kind of an enjoyable trainwreck. The story is far from good but its okay in all honesty. Everything is set up to be explained but it isn't which sucks. I don't really mind Jake's key since the Zordon Era has color changing. The New Powers don't really bug me that much anymore. Legendary Battle was a watered down, piss poor Once a Ranger (as I found out after conparing them recently), though it actually makes sense how all the powers can be present (I wish how the powers came back was explained but oh well). -Dino Charge was awesome with lovable characters and a fun and well-paced storyline. -Dino Super Charge was honestly not that bad. The characters continued to be awesome and the story is imo, pretty good. -Ninja Steel is also pretty good. Victor and Monty can be annoying but I don't hate them. As for the actual Ranger stuff, the characters are pretty good and the story isn't bad at all. Minus some poor executions, its a pretty good season. -Super Ninja Steel is off to a good start but I can't fully judge it yet. Totally agree with your opinion

For me DC is best from neo saban. Samurai and mega force seasons is pretty much tie for being worst ever.

Samurai and Dino Charge were my picks too but Mega Force could have gone better. I can't call Ninja Steel just yet as I'll be watching this on DVD in September.

Dino Charge, hands down. Storywise, I liked Dino Super Charge better, what with the rotating villain factions YuGiOh-style. The ending threw me off, though. Back then it wasn't confirmed that Dino Charge took place in another dimension, so seeing 23 years history of Power Rangers got erased just like that really made me feel betrayed, especially because Power Rangers is the first franchise I followed ever since I was 3!

I am still gonna go with putting Dino Charge at number one on my list as being one of the two least-awful seasons of the Neo-Saban era. The second least-awful is Super Ninja Steel, in my opinion. But given the fact that we, as a fanbase, had to put up with four years of bulls#$@, cardboard cut-outs with zero personalities or any real acting chops and creditials in their resumes, wooden acting due to terrible writing and bad directions, Jonathan Tzachor's balatant incompetence and his team of ignorant, lazy-ass production staff members and monkey writers and generic empty platitudes about how incredibly super-duper, ultra, mega, hyper, radically, tubularsome awesome we humans are, and how we'll rise to the occasion without literally showing any effort of how "united" we are as a species and teamwork and friendship and the heart of the cards and blah, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. I think it's likely that Saban Brands buying the rights to Power Rangers back from Disney was a mistake. A very big mistake.
So, let's just pray and hope that Super Ninja Steel will end on a good note and a possible big bang. One finale that doesn't suck (I am looking at you, Dino Super Charge and Super Megaforce's finale!!). Not another shameful rehashing of "Countdown to Destruction", but a finale that actually reminded us all of a time when we had better story-telling and characters and villains after the Zordon-era that are worth remembering. Kind of like Time Force's finale, or RPM's finale. Hell, even Mystic Force's rushed finale is better than what we've been getting from the Neo-Saban era, lately. And I sure as hell don't want Super Ninja Steel's finale to be anything like Kamen Rider Ryuki's finale or Dino Super Charge's finale as well. Just a simple finale that would make me feel like this is the last time we'll ever this cast and characters on-screen together.

Samurai (including "Super Samurai") gets my vote here because I will forever maintain that it is far better than "popular opinion" gives it credit for.

Really digic, how can you say samurai seasons was the least bad. They where flat out terrible. The actors had no emotion. We had copy paste scripts that didn't make enough western culture changes. And all the bs stuff jt wouldn't let the casts or writers do.

I gonna have to disagree with you on this one. I mean, I get that you are a fan of Samurai and Super Samurai, and that is okay for you to like it. But, you have to acknowledge the fact that the show is not perfect. It has flaws like any other show or movie that has come before it. I, on the other hand do not like the series because I perfer to see an adaptation of a sentai series be more creative and to have an original story and identity. If I want to see an adaptation of a sentai series be more faithful to the source material, I would rather watch Time Force and Wild Force. This show, however lacks creativity and it doesn't even have an original story about modern-day multicultural Samurai warriors. Aside from Lauren and Serrator, none of the other characters are worth remembering because they lack charisma, emotions and color. Really digic, how can you say samurai seasons was the least bad. They where flat out terrible. The actors had no emotion. We had copy paste scripts that didn't make enough western culture changes. And all the bs stuff jt wouldn't let the casts or writers do. I say they are bad because there was not enough time to fully have this show prepared before it aired on Nickelodeon. They had to rush everything within six months, instead of an entire year because they were trying to get a show ready since there were no new Power Rangers episodes airing in 2010. But Megaforce and Super Megaforce are far worse than Samurai and Super Samurai put together. Really digic, how can you say samurai seasons was the least bad. They where flat out terrible. The actors had no emotion. We had copy paste scripts that didn't make enough western culture changes. And all the bs stuff jt wouldn't let the casts or writers do. I don't agree, because much of what you see as weaknesses I see as strengths. Yeah, uhmm. I think the cast and crewmembers' interviews and Q&A panels may say otherwise. Hell, according to the Dan of Geek interview with former Power Rangers story-editor, James W. Bates, Jonathan Tzachor was a terrible show-runner and executive producer for Samurai/Super Samurai and Megaforce/Super Megaforce. Bates had some interesting ideas in story-telling and character dynamics for both shows, but Tzachor came in with the mentality of a four-year old saying no to all of Bates' ideas such as the Samurai Rangers playing a PlayStation 3 game console in the Shiba House living room, actual backstories on the main characters of Megaforce, including a chosen one narrative arc for Troy explaining why he is a magnet for the Megaforce team, Gosei and Robo Knight and Troy's super saiyan moment being a connection to tap into the full power of the universal morphing grid and of course, the return of a former Power Rangers character serving as a mentor-character for Noah as a way of connecting both generations of Power Rangers through their experiences as teenagers struggling to survive High School. And guess who Mr. Bates suggested would make a comeback to the franchise as a mentor for Noah?! David Yost. David Yost!!! Billy Cranston, the original blue ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. How cool would that have been to see Billy Cranston coming back to Earth now a teacher to the Megaforce team on-screen?! But Mr. Tzachor said no because he thought those were boring and that they would get in the way of all the cool fight scenes. Which we all know that's a load of bulls#$% because tnose ideas would have been more interesting to watch than what we have actually gotten from those two shows. I am not kidding. Jonathan Tzachor is a terrible businessman and a bad show-runner and executive producer. He even made the actual version of Megaforce and Super Megaforce as a hige middle finger to Haim Saban's true vision of the 20th anniversary series, his employer had a different vision than him. And that really says something about how one person doesn't like their boss and will get fired in the worst possible way. You never give your boss's vision a middle finger, nor do you ever piss off your boss. Because that will lead you to the world of unemployment. Get it?! So, lesson learn....do not f@#$ around with your boss's vision of a project and don't piss him/her off!!! It's their way, their visions, their rules. If you don't like it, then quit!!!

Dig I totally don't agree with your answer. Tell me how is being copy paste scripts, actors not allowed to give emotion and the writers where hampered by jt in things they wanted to do and they couldnt. Along with all the other stuff we know from interviews with cast and crew members. How is that considered strength.

Let me clarify a few things about my position regarding Samurai: * I don't care about Sentai, so the "copy/paste scripts" thing is a non-issue for me.
* I also happen to appreciate the Samurai characters as they were presented and reject the "common wisdom" criticisms leveled against them.
* And Tzachor shooting down story ideas doesn't have any bearing on my enjoyment of the season we were given.
Much of the Power Rangers fandom looks at what Samurai * wasnt * and uses that as criticism of what it * was *, whereas I don't, instead accepting and enjoying what we got as we got it.
Samurai is not perfect, but no season of Power Rangers has ever been perfect, and what flaws it does have are less egregious to me than the flaws I find in the other Saban Brands seasons.

Still digit knowing what we know and how the show itself turn out. It was a terrible series same with megaforce. Yes we all have different liked and dislike seasons. But from top to bottom samurai and megaforce where really bad series. And it all stems from the bad calls jt made with the shows.
