^ I'm not impressed with any of the new Vs vehicles. They are...OK. It's a boring gimmick. But, oh well. They have to sell toys. For other part, the writing in the show is great. Every week this season becoming one of my favourites tokus in the last years (if they keeps with this quality). Ep 6 is great. It shows the PatRangers, more in a new light. Specially for Keiichiro. Sure, the LupinRangers has a tragic backstory, the motivations and they look cooler, but they are still thieves. And they are doing this for selfish reasons. Sure, you can empathize with them. But they are still doing it in the wrong way. Opposite the PatRangers, they are the oficial police officers. They doing this to protect the people. So, selfish vs. Selfless. I love it. And I love Tsukasa slap reason to Keiichiro. It's not a Ban's kick, but it worked. I like that. And ep 7. God, a good episode centered by a female Ranger? Who has to use to brains to help her male comrades? When was the last time we have something like this? Bravo, Lupin vs Pat. You're doing great. And Kogure are doing advices, like...actual mentoring? Hell I was starting to worry he's gonna enter the Hall of Infame of bad mentors. The final scene is awesome. Again, good, Tsukasa. You are the MVP. So far, it's great. And God, my favourites Rangers in this season are Umika and Tsukasa. Umika, she seems the dumb one, but she's actually smarter than people think and the more hard-worker. And Tsukasa, because she slapped Keiichiro and remind him the mission, and she's smart too. And the last scene in ep 7 cemented my opinion.

LvP episode 7: What more is there to say other than this is another fantastic episode? The Good: This is the episode I've been waiting for: the episode where we finally get Umika's backstory. First off, I thought it was a great idea to tie how she felt when she was the only one left after Kairi and Touma got captured to how she felt after her friend Shiho died, because it helped justify showing that backstory in this episode. It actually worked two-fold, because not only was that sense of loneliness and helplessness the same, but it also ties into how she felt when she was a kid, and that's one of the ways Shiho helped her, by being a friend and standing up for her. I loved the whole scene in the restaurant, and how the show takes the time to deal with her feelings dramatically. Also, another great line from the show: "The power you've obtained has already transformed you."
One thing I realized is that Umika is kinda Touma and Sakuya rolled into one. I praised episode 3 for focusing on both of those characters, but this episode does both arcs at the same time. Umika is as self-conscience as Sakuya was, but also has a tragic backstory like Touma. It kinda makes Umika feel like one of the more well-rounded characters of the show, and it kinda makes Tsukasa feel like that much more disappointing of a character by comparison.
Also, "I'm entrusting you with this. The VS Vehicles are very valuable, after all." I knew it! The way he said that line made it feel like he doesn't care about Kairi and Touma at all. If that's not enough proof that Kogure isn't to be trusted, I don't know what is.
As for the plot with Sakuya, despite this being one of the more dramatic episodes of the show, I also think it's the funniest episode so far. I freaking love Sakuya. That actor is just freaking great. He perfectly portrays Sakuya's awkwardness, but never in a way that's even an inkling of being annoying. I also find it funny that he's that awkward, but he also hits on a lot of girls. I wouldn't have ever expected that. I don't usually play the shipping game that often (although I do root for Bughead), but I actually do ship these 2, and I hope they do get together by the end of the show. I think they would make a cute couple.
As for the action, like I said before, I never get sick of the camera tricks, but the best thing ever, which may be the best moment in any sentai ever, and I can't tell if I'm exaggerating or not, is that Black Widow Double Takedown Umika did. I want a gif of that ASAP. That wasn't just freaking awesome. That was bad-freaking-ass. I also love the line, "We're about to chew you up and spit you out!" Umika is a BOSS!
Also, as for the Lupin Collection piece, it's based on the lamp from Magiranger. Seeing as how the one that was based on the lion zord from Shinkenger had fire powers, and this one can create a near infinite space, it feels like the powers of each piece is also based on those objects. Why does this show feel more like an anniversary than Zyuohger? The Bad: The only problem I have with this episode is an overarching problem with the show, but it's the villains. "Maybe he'll once again provide us with some surprising delicacies." Dogranio, are all you gonna do is just sit on your butt and enjoy the show? You're just Ginis 2.0. I'm not gonna harp on this anymore. Final thoughts: I feel like my posts read like I'm overhyping the show, just because I found the last 4 shows to be disappointments, and I want to be clear that's not the case. I do genuinely think this show is that great, and this was another great episode. Next episode: It looks like Tsukasa figured out who the Lupinrangers are, but I doubt they're gonna go through with it. After looking at the scans, I think I can tell how they get out of this one. I just hope they don't keep doing this close call thing too often. We know they're gonna figure it out eventually, so don't keep teasing it. That being said, this episode does still look like fun, especially with Jim Carter pretending to be a Gangler. Also, 2 down, 1 to go. I can't wait to get Kairi's backstory episode.

^ Umika is the last character to get focus and I think it was great how instead of being saved like in her backstory, she had to save the others by overcoming her lack of confidence. It also developed Umika/Sakuya with Sakuya becoming even more in love.
We also see a new side to Kairi when he sacrifices himself, which Touma pointed out. The Lupinrangers are supposed to keep going even if one of their own is defeated and Kairi putting his teammate before himself was clearly an act of spontaneity since the team's camaraderie is stronger than it was before. Touma claims he wouldn't have done the same but I suspect he's just trying to maintain his usual hard exterior.
They really should've made their thief personae more deceptive. Kairi pinching Umika's nose playfully caused Tsukasa to recognize them as their unmorphed Lupinranger identities.
Kairi's backstory is the thing I'm looking forward to a lot, like I want to know what the deal is with his big bro and why they were fighting before the freeze.

^ I think that's another flaw with the show. I love the idea of if even one of them is still alive, that person will still complete the mission, but the show hasn't really been consistent with it, like in episode 3 and this episode. Either it's an oversight, or maybe they felt like being consistent with that will make the Lupinrangers come off as too unlikable, which is understandable. I'm not complaining too much, though, because I like the fact that they care about each other, and it's a small problem to begin with.

To put something in spoiler tag you have to do ([ Spoiler ][ /Spoiler ]) just don't put () marks there. Plus don't space [ ] marks. Then you put what you want in between [] [/].

I have this feeling that Interdimensional Criminal Group Gangler are not the true threats of the series but Kogure with the Lupin Estate including descendants of Arsène Lupin (might be alive). What you guys think?

^ I don't think the real Lupin will ever show up in the series; he's just a kind of narrative device. Plus since he has a descendant there's no real reason to bring him in, when we have that person

Well this past week's episode proved something to me. That Sakuya is a total moron and is completely worthless as a police officer
