Interesting idea for the season. I forgot how many episodes/special we got this season. Also teaser was a nice little peak. Eight for the regular series, plus two specials for 2022. |

Just saw the news myself. Curious to see who takes over as exec. Then of course same with doctor will it be another female, will it go back to male, will it be a poc. And hmm I though season 13 was going to be 8 episodes and the original announced 2 specials. So is it now only 6 episodes and the 3rd special announced.

Hopefully she could return for the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who as a multi Doctor story with David, Matt, and Peter.

Maybe it could be the closure of the Timeless Child arc that it could have Ruth, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th.

Would be cool. But like I said it all depends when anniversary comes up what showrunner wants to do. What actors are asked back and want to return. And then of course story and budget they have. For all we know maybe they would want to do a more intimate story and not some big bang like 50th was.

Yeah, the whole point of the 50th was also discarded a couple of years later when Chibs took over too, so using an anniversary to set things up doesn't really sound like a viable long-term idea.
As for a multi-Doctor crossover...they'll probably work with who they can afford or can schedule, as AlwaysARanger says.

Ya and we are how far away from 60th. Hard to know what plans there could be. When we don't even know who the next doctor will be. Let alone the new shoe runner and direction they want to take the show. Then Ya like I said it's all about story and budget they have and what nit. There is so many factors to consider. I for one curious to see who new show runner will be and direction they will take show. And same for who ever is the next doctor.
