Sally is one of the best screenwriters on British television, Gentleman Jack, Happy Valley, Last Tango In Halifax etc, are shows I'd recommend...not exactly 'sci fi' or fantasy, but full of sparkling wit, drama, and very strong characterisations. I believe we will get another female Doctor based off this potential hiring based on the pedigree of most of her work. She's also worked very closely in the past with Russel T. Davies. |

ah never heard of her or her shows. So wanted to ask. As for next doctor i have no issue if we get another female. But wouldnt mind if we get a man again too. Though if we get man again i would totally expect a poc in role just to add more diversity and all. Plus we already did it with master missy/current master, and with doctor female and the black chick. Would make sense to have a poc for next male doctor too.

I don't have any feelings about the showrunner of Doctor Who except for the fact that making The Doctor a being not originally from Gallifrey was pretty stupid but besides that I thought the show was fine that includes Jody Whitaker as The Doctor. I'm sad to see her go but I hope whoever they to replace her does a good job :-)

Well that the thing any show runner can add or remove things from cannon as they like. If the next show runner doesn't like the change current person did they can change things.

The '/mystery' viral marketing finally kicked in this week with the release of a series of text messages between The Doctor and Yaz, followed by an audio recording of Yaz leaving The Doctor a message.
