Leon started to slowly pace the floor thinking about his next words very thoroughly. "Honestly, Mateo? I need those answers more than I need my life because up until this point? My life meant nothing. My family abandoned me and the one person that started it all.... All he has to do is tell me that I'm doing the right thing..." Leon said as he began to tear up.

Mateo pinched the bridge of his nose, now speaking in full on Spanish before going back to English.
"Sensei...."
"Hold on. You're not actually thinking about doing this, are you?! Even if he gets what he's looking for, you're fucked. You dodged a bullet the last time. The big wigs won't be so generous a second time around."
"I know. I know. Are there any pending missions that take place while Duncan is alive?"
Sensei briefly checked the database and hesitated.
"Sensei?"
"Yeah..." She admitted reluctantly. "2022. It's pending for other agents to avoid the conflict of interest."
"....." Mateo paused again. He was back and forth on the decision. "Sensei.... use my captain's override to transfer the mission to me."
"Are you sure?" Sensei asked.
"No." Mateo admitted. "But do it anyway. Please."
Sensei sighed. "It's done. The mission is ours to handle." Sensei put out a call to the rest of the team, summoning them back to the ship.

Ledger had been heading to his room after talking to Samara, but he stopped and jogged back to the ship and headed for teh bridge. "Hey, guys," he said.
Samara, having decided to take a shower, stepped out of the water and dried off, hearing the call. She sighed and dressed, this time in a pair of jeans and a shirt, foregoing her usual skirt before strapping her gun to her hip. She put her hair up and took off, heading for the ship and the inevitable meet up with Leon, something she hoped she could pull the Green Ranger aside for.

Lalah was on her way back to the ship after the last conversation with Leon, when she received a call from Sensei. Wondering what's going on, she ran toward Patricia and found her friends here at the bridge. "Hello. What is the situation?" She asked.

"I'm here, Lady Sensei. How may we be of aid?" Augustus asked. He saw Mateo in his chair, visibly pissed and Leon wearing despair on his face. Even a caveman could tell that something happened, but he knew the mission took priority. "One minute, y'all. Just got the mission." Sensei pulled the data and began receiving details that were loading on screen. "Mission is 2022. The target is Duncan Steele, the second Aura Striker Black Ranger. New reports show that Duncan dies in the ring in a match against a mysterious opponent named Tonioso Katastrophe. We believe his future has been altered as this is not the way he is supposed to die. If it wasn't already obvious, Duncan is the ancestor to Leon here. If anything goes wrong or if you all fail, Leon will cease to exist." Sensei finished, devoid of her normal sass or pep, given the tense conversation prior to calling the other Rangers onto the ship. |

Lalah gazed between Leon and Mateo, noticing their respective expressions. Combine with the mission, she put two and two together and her reaction was her heavy sigh.
"Leon, are you sure you want to do this?" Lalah asked, aware of her earlier conversation with her Green friend.

Leon watches as the data gets pulled and Sensi goes over the facts. Leon wipes the tears off his face and cracks his neck as he gets serious. He knew what he asked for and he was aware of the risks going in. He was starting to get locked in.
"Leon, are you sure you want to do this?" Lalah asked, aware of her earlier conversation with her Green friend.
"Never been more certain. This is my life. My legacy. Up until this point, I've been nothing but a bad apple or the black sheep. I have no family. And I need to know if what I'm doing is the right thing by choosing my own path." Leon said with intent and focus in his eyes.

Ledger looked at Leon, raising an eyebrow. "And you're sure this is the way to do it?" he asked. "Dude, if your family kicked you out for doing your own thing, that's their fuck up, not yours. We can't all be the thing keeping the family legacy alive. God knows I'm still tryin' to find my role in my family with everyone being as successful as they are."
Samara bit her lip, not knowing what to say. She finally sighed and looked at the Green Ranger. "Leon. Will you come talk to me for a moment?" she asked, hoping he'd agree.

I don't fault you. I fault myself." Leon said as he kept it short and sweet before he retired to his room until it was ready, giving him time to meditate on what he had to do.

"Teo, how about a drink before we go? Your resting bitch face is showing." Sensei tried cracking a joke to relieve some of the Red Ranger's tension, but instead, he strapped into his captain's chair. He wasn't a fan of him and the others willingly being put at risk, only for someone to get what was the equivalent of a pep talk. After working as hard as he did to get to this point, to possibly lose it all because he was too nice was hard to stomach.
"Set a course, please. Let's get this over with." Mateo said, his voice devoid of his normal joy.
Sensei was silent for a moment before complying with the request. "Setting a course for 2022! Everybody brace yourselves."
Auggie silently complied, finding the nearest seat he could. Between Samara being made to feel guilty for simply not liking someone romantically, Leon being out for himself to such a degree, Mateo being pissed to the point where Leon's head almost got smashed in, the vibes on the ship were horrible. His role in all of these situations was not guilty. While he regretted putting Mateo in such a tight spot and has since apologized, he wasn't a fan of his choices being weaponized for personal gain.
"Perhaps hitting something will aid in the mood.." Auggie's voice trailed off.

"I Never got to say anything, you selfish bastard!" Samara yelled, slipping into some Indian language at the end of her sentance. "No matter the time, men who don't get their way are just supreme whining children! How you got recruited for this is beyond me, you upstart fucking prick!" She slammed her hand into the wall, growling at the pain before sitting down, her arms crossed over her chest as her fists clenched, tears stinging the corners of her eyes.
"One big happy family," Ledger said sarcastically, sitting down and strapping in. He looked over at Auggie and nodded. "Couldn't hurt. Just make sure Sam doesn't turn Leon into shishkabab."

"Oy vey." Lalah frowned in disappointment over the impact Leon made. Taking her seat, she looked at Ledger and Augustus and shrugged her shoulder. "Venting our frustrations tends to cure the mood. But I won't be surprised when Leon gets his karma for hurting Samara's feelings and making Mateo upset." She said.

While Leon was meditating, he heard the yelling that Samara had made and Leon shook his head. "Mom was right...You do act like your father sometimes. Blocking everyone out to get what you want. Damnit, Leon. Why do you do this to yourself!?" Leon said loud enough as he couldn't meditate anymore. "When are you gonna get it through your head that shit doesn't need to be about you?! When are you gonna learn that the world doesn't revolve around you?! You know dad was right... Your head ain't worth nothing besides a damn hat rack!" Leon said litterally having an argument with himself.

The Patricia took to the skies, flying through the time portal. When the time ship emerged from the time stream, the Rangers were now in 2022, not long after Duncan surrendered his crystal and retired as a Power Ranger to pursue his career.
"Okay. We're here! Everybody get your asses off the ship!" Sensei's voice rang throughout the ship, calling for everyone to make a hasty exit.

Upon hearing the news, Lalah unbuckled herself and stood up from her chair, ready for the mission. "Let's get this over with." She said, suppressing the urge to sigh as she went to the exit.
