Power Rangers: Chrono Storm (Game)

"The hullabaloo is that WE are getting a new Ranger." Mateo smiled, unable to contain his excitement.

"Oh really." Lalah was surprised they're going to have a new Ranger soon. Perhaps it had to do with the events from her end that the TMB went for drastic measures. She was going to ask the name of that Ranger but Bishop answered. "Intriguing. A kingdom exists before us and we're going to meet the Magnificent." She spoke with awe. "How soon we will meet him, Bishop?"

"I ain't seen him," Samara said. "One of us could call him, see if he's alright. I know he's still processin' everything that happened with the ice beast a while back.'

Ledger looked down, taking his Chrono Com in hand. "New Ranger? Am I the last to know about this?" he asked, frowning. "Man.....yeah, I'll meet you guys..."

Samara sighed softly, biting her lip and looking at the others. "We should have waited."

"That's not always possible, Lalah." Bishop spoke calmly.

"It's not like we waited until we were back on the ship or when the new guy joins the team." Sensei spoke up, trying to illustrate that things always aren't so cut and dry.

"How about we try and focus on the positives, eh?" Mateo was saddened by Ledger's reaction, but preferred to focus on unity and the subject at hand rather than having to pick sides. "Sure, it would have been great had we all heard the news at the same time but we heard within minutes of each other. And at the end of the day, we still have a new comrade boarding the ship!" Mateo exclaimed, trying to rebuild his excitement level.

Back at the Moon Kingdom, the scene shifted to dinner, which was a large, engagement feast for Beryl and Endymion. The only thing louder than the laughter taking place around the large table was the love in the air. Endymion and Serenity stole a few quick glances, careful to be discreet, but there were some who may have picked up on their wandering eyes.

After the feast, Endymion went for a walk, needing to walk off the large meal. His trek brought him to the personal garden that the princess sisters loved dearly. He found Serenity sitting on a bench, looking up at the Moon. "You look as that last piece of pie was your downfall."

"Says the man who can barely walk." Serenity teased the Earth prince.

The two continue to playfully tease one another as Endymion sat down next to her, taking a sip out of his glass.

"Save some for me." Serenity quickly took Endymion's wine from him, causing a chunk of the liquid to splash in their faces, causing the princess to laugh even more.

"I should have kept it for myself. You're wasting it!" Endymion chuckled. He grabbed the cloth draped across Serenity's lap, wiping the wine from their faces. The laughter slowly faded as the two stared at one another, looking at each other lovingly. He placed his hand on her cheek while she placed her hand atop of his.

"Beryl and I are to be wed..." He said.

"And she's my sister." She said.

"I'd leave her for you."

"I'd never ask." Serenity hung her head. "I fear that you would. The earth kingdom needs you..... I need you."

The pair could not fight their urges any longer as they began to passionately kiss, finally prioritizing their feelings over tradition. Little did they know, this one kiss would signal the end of their kingdoms. Looking on from her balcony, tears were running down Beryl's face as she witnessed the man she was set to marry in the warm embrace of the one person in this world she trusted above all else. A dark Aura began to surround Beryl as cruel intentions crept into her heart.

"Geeze, why are y'all.."

"It's okay, Sensei."

"But..."

"That's enough." Mateo put his foot down, not wanting an argument now of all times. Sure, he thought the reactions were a bit much, but he wasn't in the business of telling someone how they should feel, at least not for something like this. Instead, he was going to focus on what he said he would, the new Ranger they're about to get.

Ledger sighed as he found the others, walking over. "Yo."

"Yo! You're just in time. We're rolling out as soon as we finish eating to pick up our guy." Mateo said, still visibly optimistic.

Ledger folded his arms, looking at Mateo. "New guy? Why didn't you guys call me before starting to talk? I'm the youngest in my family and always got information last, and looks like that bled over into this," he said. "What's the deal with the new Ranger?"

Samara looked up and sighed softly, standing up and putting her hand on Ledger's shoulder. "I'm sorry, Ledger."

Bishop sighed heavily. "As I was saying less than five minutes ago, you all are getting a new teammate." He said to the Blue Ranger, making it clear that this wasn't this large gap that some are making it seem like. He repeated what he said to the others, giving Ledger a quick rundown on who they'd be working with. Bishop then stood up, looking over at Ledger. "I'm sorry if your hurt, but I want to be clear, the decision to speak on this new ally was mine and mine alone. If you're going to be upset, direct it at me." Bishop finished.

"Any additional info has been forwarded to Sensei, so she'll be able to fill in the blanks any of you may need help with. Good luck." Bishop said as he left.
