Power Rangers: Chrono Storm (Game)

Back at the Moon Kingdom, night time was quickly approaching. Prince Endymion was taking a stroll by himself on the castle grounds. He eventually encountered Princess Serenity who was standing by herself.

"With all of this glorious land, it surprises me not that you're in this secluded space, Princess."

"Well Prince Endymion, I enjoy the peace and quiet, away from the grandeur and celebration that a union such as this commands." Serenity smirked slightly, seeing Endymion out of the corner of her eye.

"A celebration that you'll play a vital role in as our families unite and broker an era of peace across the stars." Endymion replied, now standing directly next to Serenity.

The two proceeded with the playful banter they were known for, only stopping when the sun began to set. Serenity looked directly at it and smiled. "This view...it's breathtaking."

"Indeed it is." Endymion wasn't staring at the sunset but rather Serenity who felt his warm gaze upon her. She began to look into his eyes, allowing her hand to creep towards his, but just before their fingers could gently interlock, Serenity yanked her hand back, blushing strongly.

"No, this is not proper. You are set to wed my sister. We are set to be brother and sister in the name of the moon." Serenity turned her back to Endymion, who gently placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Is that what you want?"

"It..it doesn't matter what I want." Serenity sighed.

"It does to me." Endymion waited with baited breath as Serenity turned around. Before either could act, a shining savior entered the fray.

"There you are, Endy!" Sir Augustus loudly called out to his childhood friend. "Dinner will be ready shortly."

The prince and princess chuckled before Serenity walked in the opposite direction with Endymion walking towards Augustus. While on the surface, it looked as if Augustus was interrupting a tender moment, he was serving as what some in modern times would call a wingman, being intentionally loud as to discreetly alert them that Beryl was nearby. Endymion walked towards Augustus and the two shared a laugh and nod without the need to utter a single word in explanation.

"Hey, I told you I would work on it and I am. At least give me a little bit of credit. Aint you the one that said you were gonna break me?" Leon chuckled. "I'm headed to the lunchroom. I've worked up an appetite." Leon said as his stomach grumbled.

"I'll give you credit when I see more progress." Mateo chuckled. "Until then, there's more work to be done, but food right now sounds like a really good idea."

Samara smiled softly and nodded. "Works for me. Meals always make things better," she said. "Least that's what my mama always said."

At the Moon Kingdom, the dinner proceedings were set to begin. Endymion walked down the halls of the Moon Palace with a clouded mind and a heavy heart. He stopped when he found himself in front of Beryl's chambers. He knocked on the door and entered when consent was shouted. When he walked in, he found Beryl dabbling in what looked to be unsavory magic.

"You know, if you wanted to brush up on proper magic, I'm sure Methos would be happy to teach you."

"I appreciate the offer my love, but this magic that I'm working to perfect, it will secure our future for generations. It will allow you and I to rule as long as the moon shines and the earth turns."

"Beryl, are you trying to defy the gods? Immortality is a myth and trying to obtain it would require very dark and sinister magic." Endymion walked up to Beryl, placing a hand on her shoulder as he stood behind her. "Do you wish for our rule.. our legacy to be tainted in such a way?"

"Tainted?! We are the superior beings, my love. Our legacy should not be constrained to the grasp of time." Beryl smiled softly, leaning into his warm touch. "Trust in me, my love. I will secure everlasting power and we will rule for eternity."

Endymion smiled, but behind that smile was worry. While he did care for Beryl, he didn't care for this dark magic. Now more than ever, he was beginning to feel trapped, trapped by his duty to his kingdom and by honor to his word. "Come, my dear. Dinner awaits us."

"I know you're trying. Still doesn't change what I said." Mateo smiled. "But we'll get there."

With the two men on their way to eat, they ran across Bishop. "Good, it saves me time looking for at least two of you."

"Is everything set?" Mateo asked.

"Yes. TMB senior leadership has approved a sixth Ranger and we already have the candidate lined up." Bishop said, now walking with the two younger men.

"Oooh who is he? Or is it a she? What era are they from?"

Bishop laughed. "Teo, calm down. Okay, since you want to know... oh look, there are the girls." Bishop pointed out Samara and Lalah.

Mateo darted away from Bishop and Leon, quickly grabbing food before sitting with the girls. "Hey!" The Red Ranger said to the girls, in an outrageously good mood.
