Power Rangers: Chrono Storm (Game)

Samara sighed to herself as she made her way toward the cafeteria. Having spent her morning in firearms training, the Black Ranger was ready to eat before her hand-to-hand training later. She made her way in, getting in line and hoping there was something halfway decent that afternoon. "Compared to home, this is food from my wildest dreams," she chuckled to herself, shaking her head before pulling her hair back and into a ponytail.

Ledger stretched as he sat in his room, running his hand in his hair. Even after Lalah's time looping adventure, the Blue Ranger couldn't help but dwell on the whole "you guys died" aspect. "Never realy gave thought to my own death..." he muttered.

Samara jumped a bit, looking behind her and snickering. "Hi, Lalah. Give me a heart attack," she said. "Scared me, girl."

The scene now shifts to over 10,000 years ago. During this time, the world and it's neighboring planets were ruled by kingdoms in a universe filled with glorious magic. What was even more glorious was the alignment set to take place between that of the moon and earth kingdoms. For the moon kingdom, Princess Beryl was set to marry Prince Endymion of the earth kingdom. The two had known each other since they were children with Beryl always showing strong feelings for Endymion, even dating back to childhood. Now as adults, they would now be able to marry and unite the two kingdoms.

"Isn't it beautiful, my love? It's a perfect setting for our wedding." Beryl smiled, holding hands with Endymion as they walked down the aisle, observing her loyal subjects preparing the venue for their upcoming nuptials.

"Beautiful, indeed." Endymion said with a smile.

While they walked, Beryl saw that one of the flower arrangements was a bit crooked and stopped. "You! Girl! This day is supposed to be perfect! Your grotesque work is hurting my eyesight. Fix it now or it's off to the dungeon with you!"

"Y..yes, Princess Beryl." The servant ducked her head out of fear, hurriedly fixing the flower display.

"I'm sure she's doing her best." Endymion spoke up, taking a moment to walk up to the girl to give her encouragement. "I appreciate all you're doing here. I believe my faith in your work is well placed." He said, taking the woman's hand and gently patting it with his own, slowly putting her mind at ease. He rejoined Beryl who turned her nose up.

"Lowly peasants deserve no such praise." Beryl said.

"Everyone deserves fair treatment, Princess." Endymion smiled as he and Beryl continued to walk, prompting Beryl to scoff in annoyance.

With the two kingdoms frequently interacting with one another, Beryl had developed a reputation that was quite unsavory but it was not spoken out loud as it was rumored that she partook in sinister magic and coupling that with her natural, uppity attitude, her subjects operated out of fear instead of love or even respect. Endymion was on the other side of the spectrum, widely regarded for his kindness, garnering loyalty out of love and respect for anyone he came across, regardless of what their social ranking was.

Walking a fair distance back was the prince's close group of friends and allies. First, there was Methos, a gifted wizard and swordsman who served at the side of the earth king before serving as an advisor of sorts to Endymion, training him in everything from the arts to combat, and more. Next to Methos was his wizard's apprentice, Titanus. His appearance was unlike your typical apprentice, but the current story is that his appearance is the result of a spell gone wrong as his true origin is one that the people of this time are not quite ready for. Finally, there was Sir Augustus the Magnificent. He is Endymion's childhood best friend and captain of the Earth kingdom's elite guard, earning his title due to his prowess on the field of battle.

None of them were particularly fond of Beryl nor she of them, but they agreed to be cordial as she was set to be their new queen.

Titanus scoffed. If only Princess Serenity had been born first. Although he spoke in a hushed tone, his words earned him a strong smack to the back of his head.

"Young mage, I implore you to mind your tongue." Methos spoke. "Had your words carried with the wind, I fear your tongue would have been cut and thrown to the seas of Mercury as punishment."

"Apologies, Master Methos. But am I wrong? Princess Serenity is much kinder and their chemistry cannot be denied."

"What you are speaking on not only breaks tradition, but would ensure chaos if our prince were to pursue such a change." Methos responded.

"But..." Titanus leaned in close.

"But... you do not speak a lie." Methos admitted.

Titanus smiled as Augustus placed a hand on the shoulder of the young mage, letting out a snicker.

Samara chuckled and smiled softly. "It's alright. Everyone is entitled to one good scare occasionally," she said. She stretched and rubbed her eyes softly. "Seen the boys today?"

"I went with Mateo this morning to speak with the Bureau regarding the time loop I underwent. It turned out well as I originally thought." Lalah explained with a minor shrug. "As for Leon and Ledger, the former is most likely at the gym while the latter is doing his own device somewhere. I haven't seen him as of late."

"Y'know. I appreciate all of the training, but I'm sure it wouldn't kill you to interact with the others a bit more." Mateo smiled.

Leon stopped and chuckled when he heard what Mateo said. " End simulation." Leon said as he commanded the simulator to cease operations before he responded to Mateo. "Consider me a creature of habit. On the flipside, your more joyous that you usually are. Looks like you've got some good news.." Leon stated as he grabbed a sip of water from a bottle he had on the bench nearby.

"Well yeah. I don't have all of the details yet, but it looks like we're getting a new Ranger." Mateo broke the news to his comrade. "The Glaciar deal really got the top brass spooked, so we'll soon have a new friend to welcome aboard."

"A new ranger huh? Hmm. I can see why that incident would have the top brass spooked. But, isn't kind kind of soon to bring a new person on board? We've only been a team for a hot minute. And I'll be the first to admit that I haven't been the best of bedfellows, but at least I'm making steps in that direction. Do we know what time period he or she is from?" Leon asked.

"The last time I saw Ledger, he was on the firing range," Samara said. "And you're probably right about Leon. He is in the gym more then anyone I've seen in this place." She smiled softly, shrugging softly. "I just hope that something happens soon."
