Alluka averts her eyes. Key difference between Tan and K'hysh comes down to the Commander's faith in them. While Tanjiro has his doubts about his role, K'hysh grows disillusioned to the point she choose to quit Time Force. While the Black Ranger thinks of bringing this up, it may be too soon and Tanjiro may not be ready for it. After some consideration, Alluka makes up her mind.
"You have done a good job holding your ground against Rahxaz and Aquisa. You even studied the former's moveset in advance. You are excellent." She begins with a praise. "How about you show us what we are supposed to do next. You know, plot out your plan. This way we will provide your support." She suggests.
"And we'll be by your side. We can always add our two cents to make it better," Sojiro said with a smile to the Red Ranger.

"Then you use that to help kick the Battalion's ass and find a way to turn those deaths itno fuel to keep you going," Aiko said, leaning against the wall. "It's all you can do."

"I... haven't thought about it." Cody bites his lip, his fingers rubbing the palms of his hands. now realizes the situation with Tan is very similar to Wes's. With four veterans and one rookie of a Red, it's harder to struggle with the expectations. He wonders if his girlfriend Alluka, Kari, and Soujiro feel the same way. "Do you have any suggestions I can use to help Tan?" He asks.
Wes folded his arms, leaning against the wall. "Try and just include him. Keep an eye on him, see if he's fine. Help him grow."

Kari finished her work on Tan and placed everything back on the tray. Removing her gloves, she took a deep breath and turned her back on the others. Without another word, she swallowed and exited the med bay heading for her room.

As soon as Alluka motions Soujiro to be tended, she watches Kari dart off immediately. "Oh Kari." The Black Ranger sighs, shaking her head. She'll have to make a mental note to talk to her soon or else it will become worse for her. "I understand why she takes off, but she forgets she is not the only on who grieves about K'hysh." She grumbles before she decides to place her hand on Tanjiro's shoulder. "Fret not Tanjiro, I will help you as I can. Perhaps we will use the replay to pinpoint Rahxaz's weak points, and as soon as Cody joins us." She adds, now aware that her boyfriend is currently chatting with Wes.

Wes folded his arms, leaning against the wall. "Try and just include him. Keep an eye on him, see if he's fine. Help him grow."
Shoving his itched hands in his pockets, Cody consider the words carefully as he leaned against the wall next to Wes. Even since that day, his priority is being there for his nephew Rolo since he isn't there for him in the beginning. While he's still getting to know him, he doesn't think he'll ever be ready to learn what truly happened to his parents or even the real him for this matter. This and also the glimpses of his memories returning once in a while. He is too preoccupied with his own turmoil that he misses recent cues from everyone especially Tan and Alluka.
"I, uh, haven't done a good job being there for Tan when he needs it the most. In fact, I'm not there for everyone lately." Cody admits softly. "Sure I-I'm trying to make up the time with Rolo, but things went by so fast that I miss out on everything else and Alluka. I know I haven't gone back to see them all at the lab either." He runs his face with his hand and sighs. "I am such a selfish—selfish fool."

Tanjiro watched Kari walk out, looking down before looking back at Alluka. "Yeah...hope we can find something. A weakness or a way to turn her back human. I don't feel comfortable killing her knowing she used to be a human..."
Aiko jogged out behind Kari, catching up to the Pink Ranger. "Hey. Come with me," she said, taking Kari's arm lightly and leading her toward the elevator, tapping a button and heading for the cafeteria. "Talk to me."

"No you're not. You're trying to find ways to balance your personal and professional worries, and there's severe overlap on both fronts. You're trying to find a solution to every problem," Wes said. He put his hand on Cody's shoulder. "Let me give you a bit of advice. Don't try and take on the world by yourself. Focus on the problems you can solve, and work on the others overtime. Trust me, it's easier and less stressful on you."

Kari jerked her head ready to explode before noticing Aiko was the one pulling her towards the elevator. Sliding in with the doctor, she sighed and shook her head folding her arms. "I'm trying, I really am. It may not look like, but I am." She said shaking her head before looking at the ground. "I just feel like she's been replaced and we are just supposed to be on board. He's good. He's really good." She said looking up at the doctor. "He reminds me so much of K'hysh it's ridiculous." She said throwing her arms up before dropping them again.

"Of course, this is a new situation." Alluka agrees. Eventually she decides to tend Soujiro herself since Aiko went to meet with Kari. Since she has minimal medical experience and she watches Kari for the most part, she knows a thing or two on how to fix her friends. "I will get you fixed in no time, Soujiro." The Black Ranger says, already have the remaining medical equipment prepared.

He tries to help his brother from his wife but he is too young to ever defend him to the point he sends him away when he is older as the cost of his freedom. At the time, he's angry at him for not coming with him. But he hasn't realized how severe his brother's wife does to him. When it comes to his friends, he tries to help them with their problems. While most are unsuccessful, it doesn't stop him from failing. Perhaps with Garrus's passing, he goes overtime with the fixing that he gradually skips therapy.
"Not going to lie, I like it." Cody smirks, nodding his head. "But will this advice work out for me? I haven't been good with taking things slow."

Smiling, Alluka begins cleaning up Soujiro's wounds with the help of her gloves. She assesses the wounds carefully, making sure to focus on the wounds that bothers him most before she applies them with bandages and gauzes. As she does this, she becomes aware Cody doesn't know about this predicament. "Cody is going to want an explanation about this. I do not think he knows. I wonder how he is doing with Wes?" She ponders aloud.

Aiko put her hand on Kari's shoulder. "You said that she was going ot leave Time Force after returning from the moon, right? So wouldn't her spot have been replaced regardless of the circumstance?" she asked. "Kari, I understand how hard it is to lose someone you love and see their shoes filled by someone else. It will take time, both for you and for Tanjiro-kun, to come to terms with the new status quo. I'm not asking you to push your feelings down and accept it all right away, but I'm saying that getting to know him might not be a bad thing."

"I know you're right." Kari said with a large sigh and then she felt stupid like she was throwing a tantrum. "You're right. If we are going to survive this, we need to be a team." She said shaking her head. "Have you ever thought about being a therapist because I think you would make so much money." She said with a half smile. "I need to go get him, I need to apologize, and start helping him grow." She said wiping her eyes and straightening her back. "Thanks doc." She said pressing the button to return to the last floor.

"He left," Kiara said, walking in and flipping through a chart. "Headed into the base. I don't know where. Told me that if i saw someone from the Rangers, let them know."

Aiko smiled softly, watching Kari. "That's all you can do is just be there for him," she said. "You're a good person, Kari. I haven't known you that long, but I see that spark inside of you. It's the same spark that led you down the path to being a medic. The same spark that helps you when you suit up in that fancy pink suit of yours. I'm excited to see what you can accomplish."

Wes chuckled and smiled softly, walking down to the medical lab with Cody. He walked in after knocking, seeing Alluka and Sojiro. "Hi, guys." He looked around. "Where's Tan?"
"He left," Kiara said, walking in and flipping through a chart. "Headed into the base. I don't know where. Told me that if i saw someone from the Rangers, let them know."
Once Alluka finishes tending to Soujiro's wounds, she turns her head around to see her boyfriend entering here with Wes by his side. Normally she will be happy she sees him again, but lately things are unsettled between them. She doesn't blame Cody for trying to make up the time to reacquaint with his nephew, and she know she's miserable without speaking with her sisters back home. Jealousy is not the best form for her.
As if Cody senses her uncertain expression, he goes over to kiss her briefly out of assurance. "Hey, how are you feeling?"
Alluka sighs softly. "I am trying. My throat is feeling better." She admits. "You?"
"Same. But I'm getting there. Once this is done and picking up Rolo from school, how about you and me go on a dinner date." Cody offers.
Alluka blinks for a moment and grins. "Been a while since we last done this. You got yourself a deal."
Cody exhales out of relief. The last thing he doesn't want is to miss the time he has with Alluka. She's his anchor after all. Then he asks, "If Tan's not here at the moment, then where's Kari?"
"Aiko has her. She cannot deal with Tanjiro any longer after fixing him herself. So she leaves."
"These poor people. What more can they do?"

When the elevator reached the floor, Kari looked over with a smile at Aiko and gave her a nod. "Thank you." She said taking a deep breath and stepping out to stop at the door of the infirmary. "Tan, let's go. We are getting you into shape." She said forcing a smile, a nod in the direction of the training center.
