"Just my throat." Alluka answers after she demorphs. "Had the suit not save me, I would have gone with a broken neck."
Once Cody’s morph fades, he checks himself before shrugging. "Other than scratches and minor bruising, I'm good." He explains until his face forms a frown. "It's hard to believe Aquisa does such a thing to a civilian. Dunno how we'll bring her back from this transformation."
Sojiro took off as well, feeling the pain from his body, thankfully his suit was able to protect him from the major damage.

"I'm good." Kari said with a slight shrug but didn't ignore the fact that she felt like she had been hit by the side of a truck. "Sore, but over all good." She finished looking at Tan. "I.. can take a look at that if you want me too? Make sure we get to it before infections and all that." She said letting her gaze fall to the ground.

With a nod and a slight smile in the doctor's direction she turned and started heading for the lab. "Anyone else is welcome to join." She called over her shoulder. "I'm trying." She said softly to Aiko beside her.

Aiko smiled softly, patting Kari's shoulder. "C'mon. We'll head to the lab."
With a nod and a slight smile in the doctor's direction she turned and started heading for the lab. "Anyone else is welcome to join." She called over her shoulder. "I'm trying." She said softly to Aiko beside her.
"Come on, Soujiro. Let us get ourselves checked." Alluka tells her Yellow teammate as she leads him to follow the others to the lab.
Cody on the other hand opts to remain by Wes's side. While it kinda feels awkward talking to the person he admires, he reminds himself to be as casual as possible. "Since you see the battle, what do you think of it?" He asks Wes.

Sojiro nodded, "Yeah. A good doctor would be nice... ouch...," he said, wincing from the pain in his body.

Aiko gave Kari a small smile. "You're doing fine," she said softly. "That's what matters. It's a long and hard road, but you'll be ok."
Tanjiro followed behind Kari and Aiko, tucking his hands into his pockets. He sighed softly, looking around as he followed, wanting nothing more then to sink into the floor and disappear.

Wes looked at Cody, giving the Blue Ranger a smile. "The four of you are well oiled. You can read each other and know what's going to happen before it does, giving you some slight advantage. The other side of that, however, is Tanjiro. He's still new, so he's trying to watch you guys and the enemy, and that leaves him open. He's not up to par yet, but he'll ge there," he said. He stretched and sighed, folding his arms.
"Cody. Tell me about the Red Ranger before Tanjiro," he said. "K'hysh, right?"

On the Battalion's ship, Arianas stood in her chambers in front of a mirror, chuckling as she looked herself over. "Drakis did good work. His restoring of this body was done wonderfully, and I cannot fault him for what's been done."
"You insipid bitch! Get out of my body!"
"Now, now...just stay quiet," Arianas laughed, reaching up and running her hand in her hair, a glimmering coming from her neck. "Once they're on the brink of death, you'll be the one to deliver the final blow."
"Fuck you!"

As Alluka follows while helping Soujiro, she spots Tanjiro quietly brooding next to her. "Tanjiro, how are you feeling?" She asks kindly.

Out of the Rangers, Cody is the one who handles K'hysh's disappearance better. Because of his own work of healing, he's able to talk about her fondly without going emotional. "You have her name correct." The Blue Ranger smirks before he looks away and begins his rundown.
"K'hysh M'los emigrates from Mars to Earth. Commander Scotts finds her and takes her in to Time Force, giving her the ropes until she is rewarded as the Red Ranger alongside the rest of us. She leads us to various missions against the Xylorgos Empire led by Nausis. Along the way, we all get to know one another. Some slower than others." Cody says with a small shrug, referring to himself. "Not everything smooth sails though. K'hysh has dealt with torment by Milton Abraxis, her brother's crimes, and the Commander's fleeting faith in her abilities. Once Nausis and her crew were taken care of, she takes her imprisoned brother back to Lunar Colonies. She suppose to return and resign from Time Force, but the rest is history." He ends with small sigh.
"We all miss K'hysh. Her girlfriend Kari, she takes it the hardest to the point she lashes out especially towards Tan. Alluka, Soujiro, and Commander Scotts. They are doing their best to more forward. As for me, I handle well thanks to therapy. There is hope K'hysh is alive, but I frankly doubt it." Cody admits quietly to Wes.

Kari pulled gloves on and sighed behind the young man, knowing she was part of why he was feeling like he was. She turned and grabbed some gauze covering it in a liquid that would help sterilize any wounds he might have across his back. She found herself pausing for a split second as she took in the young man's soft smooth skin around his wounds and shook her head slightly. "I won't lie, this might hurt a little." She said slowly starting to work on him as she allowed him and Alluka to speak.

Tanjiro sat down and took his shirt off, laying it across his lap. He sighed softly, looking at Alluka. "Honestly, I don't know. I'm just...afraid I'm not doing my best," he said. "I don't know how to step into this without making myself look foolish."
Using the time to consider her words, Alluka eventually smiles to Tanjiro. "You know, you are not the only one who doubts the new role. I still struggle with keeping everyone in check during missions. One in particular leaves me in doubt." With her eyes averting away, she begins her tale. "Cody and I. We were fighting against two of Nausis's prisoners when we inadvertently switched places, resulting the prisoner seriously damaged Cody. Had it not been his strong will, he would have died that day. Even though everyone else arrived to help in the end, I blamed myself for not keeping watchful eye on Cody. So I make sure to never this happen again."
Once Alluka finishes, she gazes back to Tanjiro. "The point is do not let your doubts cloud you. If you do, then you will not learn. There is no such thing as perfect. Even with your mistakes, you just keep moving forward and keep believing in yourself."

"With Tan trying to live up to K'hysh's shadow, Kari and her grief, Soujiro and the preoccupation with his bloodline, Alluka balancing the new things in her life, and finally myself, we're in a pickle. We don't know how to navigate on these dilemmas. It's only a matter of time before it blows up in our faces."

Tan's trying his best to fit in, but everyone's mostly falling back on old dynamics that aren't going to last if you want to survive. Maybe find a way to get the five of you together and do something to learn how to incorporate Tan into your team."

Kari sighed and found herself stopping hearing Tan talk about how he felt like the commander's choice was a mistake. It took her back to when she had similar conversations with K'hysh when she also felt that way. "K'hysh..." She said letting a soft sigh out. "She felt the same way sometimes.. but she proved time and time again how she was the perfect choice for red.." She said, a thin line of tears welling in her eyes. "Now it's your turn to show and show out." She finished as she finished working on the young man's back.

Alluka averts her eyes. Key difference between Tan and K'hysh comes down to the Commander's faith in them. While Tanjiro has his doubts about his role, K'hysh grows disillusioned to the point she choose to quit Time Force. While the Black Ranger thinks of bringing this up, it may be too soon and Tanjiro may not be ready for it. After some consideration, Alluka makes up her mind.
"You have done a good job holding your ground against Rahxaz and Aquisa. You even studied the former's moveset in advance. You are excellent." She begins with a praise. "How about you show us what we are supposed to do next. You know, plot out your plan. This way we will provide your support." She suggests.

"I... haven't thought about it." Cody bites his lip, his fingers rubbing the palms of his hands. now realizes the situation with Tan is very similar to Wes's. With four veterans and one rookie of a Red, it's harder to struggle with the expectations. He wonders if his girlfriend Alluka, Kari, and Soujiro feel the same way. "Do you have any suggestions I can use to help Tan?" He asks.
