Time Force Delta Squad: Trapped (S2 Game)

Kari lifted her head and gave a smile. "I mean it is in a sense, but it's the start of what we know in my time." She said and then looked at Dr. Aiko when she asked her question. "Fire away." She said with a slight shrug.

Aiko bit her lip, sitting at the counter and setting her coffee down. "There's a sadness in your eyes. You think you hide it, but I can see it. It's something to do with your first Red Ranger, isn't it?" she asked. "What happened to her?"

Alluka nods empathetically. "I have a fair share with loss of parents. Cody as well." She begins with a wane smile. "My parents were killed by one of Nausis's prisoners when I was younger. My sisters and I, we raised each other. We try out best to move forward without their guidance. It is not easy but somehow we make it work. Even though I have Cody and Rolo, it is not the same without my sisters. Never in my life have I been away from them without some form of communication." She speaks bitterly. "I miss them immensely."

"In fairness, the rest of us are currently dealing with personal turmoils. Ever since we become Rangers ourselves. Soujiro with his Argonite heritage, Cody post-amnesia and his nephew, Kari and her grief for K'hysh, and me navigating with Cody along with keeping the team focus. Despite the experience, we still have a long way to go." Alluka admits thoughtfully. "I speak for myself, I apologize for making you feel like an outsider. It is never my intention to hurt you. I will do my best to help you lead the team and have you integrate into our family. No one deserves to be left out."

"Well, I'm fine. But I'm surprised that you even had a nephew," Sojiro said to Cody with a smile.

"I'm surprised the moment I read my brother's book. At the time it helped me jog a bit of my memories." Cody laughs, his smile not reaching his eyes as he leans back. "Thing is I've known Rolo for a full week of our lives until the accident that took his parents and almost me. The years we were separated, he was in foster care while I'm in Time Force with a bout of amnesia. After my memories are returned, I search high and low for him. Wasn't until last week that he found me instead. Who knew a kid like him would go lengths to see me."

Kari dropped her gaze back down to the information in front of her at the asking about K'hysh. It had been a couple days since that was all she could think about. She took a deep and shaky breath and looked back to the doctor. "She was the love of my life." She said shrugging and trying to keep her emotions in check. "As to what happened to her, we think she was killed by the assholes we chased back into this time." She said shaking her head. "I just don't know if I believe it yet... still." She finished pushing her hair back behind her ear with her emotions starting to reveal themselves.

Kari sighed slightly. "If I'm being honest, I don't really know." She said shrugging slightly. "Seeing the footage we saw seems like she is, but I know her. I feel she would have gotten out of it somehow." She finished with a shake of her head.

Sojiro just sighed, "Well it's that you have a piece of what is left of your brother. I'm an only child so I kinda feel envious that you have some sort of memorabilia to remember your family you deem as close," he explained.

Cody picks the days-old scabs of his hand, his eyes glue to the pavement. "I never thought about that. I mean, him and his father's book are the only things I ever get to have. The rest... well... You know... gone. Don't know if I'll ever make peace with what I've done." He pauses, trying to grasp his own trauma. After several moments, he adds, "There's a chance to discover what you and I are searching for; at least here. Who knows, maybe our answers will be right under our noses."

Tanjiro nodded, sighing and rubbing his head softly. "I'll do my best. I know that it will take time to learn and find my groove, but I will in time."

"That is what matters. I will have Circuit provide you a training montage so you have a better understanding on our team dynamics." Alluka smiles. "Are there any more questions you will like to address?"
