Rina nodded, pulling the spoon out as she swallowed. She grabbed the pint and twisted the spoon around in it softly, the ice cream having started to slightly melt between the trip from the store to just sitting out as they talked. She felt the pendent against her neck softly as she just stared at the ice cream.
Kida snapped out of her thoughts, shutting the Morpher and putting her hand on Rina's arm. "Ri?" she asked.

"Me sappy?" Aaron laughed at the notion of him being extra warm and fuzzy but was silently thankful that he didn't hear his conversation with JT in the gym. She'd never let him hear the end of it. "I can hear him now... you're giving me a bad name with being so cottonelle tissue soft!" When Mayumi changed the subject, Aaron stayed the course in terms of his demeanor.
"Of course we will. We have to get home so we can hear Uryuu geek out at the what we've been able to see or Davis cursing himself for missing out on someone who loves wrestling more than he does. Hell, we can look forward to Kumiko say little but ask so many good questions and my brother? I can hear him now." Aaron said, impersonating his Red counterpart. "Whoever chose that group clearly got it wrong! They picked three Red Rangers and you missed out on the best one!"
Mayumi chuckled and smiled softly. "Yeah, I can hear him saying it," she said. "We should get some sleep. Today sucked for everyone, and we need to be rested in case Amaranth gets a hair up her ass and tries to retaliate."

Mayumi chuckled and smiled softly. "Yeah, I can hear him saying it," she said. "We should get some sleep. Today sucked for everyone, and we need to be rested in case Amaranth gets a hair up her ass and tries to retaliate."
"Yeah, you're probably right. That damn witch can't be too happy about today but we'll be ready when she does strike again." Aaron responded. "Have a good night."

Rina blinked softly and looked up at Kida when she heard her say her name.
"I'm sorry," Kida said softly. "I know that's all still touchy, and I didn't mean to dredge up bad memories."

"You too," Mayumi said with a bit of a smile. "I'll meet you on the roof in the morning."
"I'll be there." Aaron ended the connection before laying back in his bed, staring at the ceiling. Tomorrow was a new day and he hoped that things would be worked out soon with the girls because if they aren't, it is going to leave them more vulnerable than ever to Overseer and whatever he decides to pull.

After getting out of the shower and switching to some comfy shorts and a tank top, JT plopped into her bed and put her phone on the adjacent night stand. While she would have preferred to go to bed with things resolved, it wasn't in the cards for that to happen. Instead, she'd retire for the evening and at least try to work out her frustrations in a healthier manner tomorrow then hope for the best.

Kida nodded, giving Rina's hand a squeeze before she leaned back. Her mind wandered as she thought back to the fighting earlier in the day, and she hated herself for it. She'd do whatever it took to make everything up to her friends, regardless of how long it was going to take her. Nobody knew, however, that the Overseer was starting to put into motion a plan to turn anotehr Ranger against the rest of his friends very soon... ______________________________________ (OCC: Y'all do your thing for now.) It was a few days after Kida's trouble with Amaranth, and she'd been doing her best to replace and fix what had happened between her and her friends. The Red Ranger sighed as she punched the heavy bag, imagining Amaranth standing in front of her as she punched the bag repeatedly. "Fucking....butterfly bitch....gonna rip her wings off and....cut her throat," she snarled. Mayumi walked into the gym, setting her stuff down and watching Kida. "Hey, Kida," she said. Kida looked over and smiled a bit. "Hey, Mayumi," she said, catching the bag and slowing it down. She stepped back and sighed, looking over. "Listen--" "You didn't say anything to me that I haven't been thinking every day since the Prism found us," Mayumi said. "You can't hurt me with words. I'm a tough little girl." Kida smiled a bit and nodded, stretching softly. ___________________________ Underground, the Overseer was fuming once again at teh loss by the Rangers. He backhanded a Coronite before ripping another's head off, growling as he walked through the cave. "HOW!? How are they constantly winning?!" Amaranth sat in the corner, her eyes on the floor as she thought to how close she was to succeeding before Rina had stepped in. "THat Green Ranger....I'm going to rip her eyes out," she growled. "That doesn't help," Ridenio said. "And don't touch my target, Amaranth." "ENOUGH!" the Overseer yelled, slamming his hands into the wall and causing hte entire cave to shake. "Perhaps it's time to revisit another old friend..." He stalked back over to the Well of Souls, his usual pit for summoning creatures, and sat beside it. He dipped his hand into the murky water, swirling it and smirking as he thought back to an old friend from thousands of years before. "Ironmoon." The water bubbled and churned, boiling until a figure rose and stepped out, bowing his head. "Master Overseer." "Ironmoon. Welcome back to the living world, old friend," the Overseer said with a smirk, shaking the Well water off of his hand and standing up. "I have a job for you." "It shall be done," Ironmoon said.  |

Rina rubbed her eyes as she walked down the street, returning her hands to her pockets. She felt the wind blowing through her hair before she looked up, seeing a ramen shop before sighing as she walked inside, heading over towards one of the tables in the back.

Aaron woke up in a cold sweat, letting out a loud scream. He looked around to find that he was still in this other dimension. He got out of bed and quickly went to take a shower, making the water as cold as humanly possible. On top of not telling the team of his true origins, he didn't tell anyone of the dreams that he was having where they all differed in some fashion but the general idea was the same where he gave into the dark urges of the original Aaron Kane of that timeline and assumed the Proto mantle, killing all of his friends in the process. Even in this dimension, the nightmares were still happening and for someone who was still struggling with his identity, the idea of being another Proto in waiting was screwing with him which is why Kida's words hit differently for him a few days ago because he did have full faith in his abilities and he knew the less than savory reasons why. While he wasn't vulnerable to a spell in the same fashion as Kida was, his psyche was still somewhat compromised seeing as he still was unsure who he was set to be when it was all said and done. When he finished his shower, he got dress and left his quarters only to go to the roof of the building. Instead of starting off with his roof jumping as he normally does, he simply stood there with his arms folded, trying desperately to clear his head so that he could at least get on with his day.

In the days since the run-in with Amaranth, things were still tense between the Pink and Green Rangers. Kida to her credit had been working hard to make peace between the pair both for their sakes and for hers in an effort to make things right after the things she said but when you have JT who is still waiting for an apology for how she felt offended and Rina not providing one as she felt that she said nothing to apologize for, it left things at a bit of a stalemate.
For JT, she did her best to carry on business as usual. She could see Kida still felt horrible and was trying to make good on JT's demand, so she was warming back up to the Red Ranger slowly but surely. In terms of Rina, JT did her best to refrain from any outbursts, trying to make good on what Aaron suggested for her to be better but she couldn't be buddy buddy with her at this point. So instead, she kept things as professional as possible, limiting dialogue to greetings in the morning or when she entered a room that Rina was in or Ranger related dialogue when it was absolutely necessary and to balance herself, she was in the gym training and running far more often.
"Morning ladies." JT walked into the gym seeing Mayumi and Kida there already. She set her bag down and began to stretch, patiently waiting her turn to get a crack at the heavy bag.

Having had a feeling in his stomach, Jameson walked up onto the roof and saw Aaron. "I'm glad that my gut feeling was right this time. Other then the fact that some steak and eggs sound fucking great for breakfast," he said, walking over to the Black Ranger. "I've known enough people in my life to know when something's bothering someone. What's wrong, man?" He walked over and put his hand on Aaron's shoulder. "Rooftop talk stays on the rooftop. I ain't no snitch."

"I'm game too." JT smiled as she thought that this may do her some good. "Jaxon is the same way." The Pink Ranger admitted in response to Mayumi. "His excuse usually involves not wanting to invoke the wrath of my mom if he hits me too hard."

I remember one time when I was a kid, he went to this planet called Ventara to hang with my uncle, Jaxon's cousin, Mr. Daniel, and some of the Kamen Riders I told y'all about for like a guy's day. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal but my dad kinda forgot that it was their anniversary. So when he got back, she tore him a new asshole for hours and made all of the other guys stay and watch. It was terrifying! Then she took his wallet and brought me shopping with her while she got a very expensive gift as an apology. After that and a week on the couch, he never forgot another anniversary again." She laughed, fondly remembering that day.

"Nani? Mm...hai. Daijobu," Mayumi said with a bit of a smile. "Just thinking about my own parents. Mom never got to see me graduate to Chuunin or the fight against Proto. I hope she'd be proud of me, in whatever afterlife she's in..."
