Kida nodded softly, hearing Rina's voice crack at the end of her little speech. She sat down and hugged Rina, closing her eyes. "We just have to work to be better," she said softly. "We got to have each other's backs, and you had mine...even if I was a fucking idiot and didn't see it." She sighed softly, closing her eyes.
She pulled back and sat against her bed, smiling softly. "And I know you had things under control, and it all worked out in the end, but JT said if I wanted to make all this shit up to her, to talk to you," she said. "WHat happened? When I left that first time with Amaranth after using the Rider Cards?"

“I was adament about trying to talk to you. Because you were so close when I mentioned Megumi and your daughters and I knew if I had that, you’d be fine. Aaron suggested the “Black Widow” technique from Avengers as a “plan b” that there didn’t need to be. Jt took what you said way to seriously and makes me think that she and Jaxon still have unresolved issues about not being Red. I said “red is just a color. It doesn’t make you a leader, your actions do and being so clouded by taking what she said under Amaranth’s control seriously means you’re not qualified to lead”. I was talking about as if in that moment if they were going to be chosen to lead with a plan, not in general.” Rina said, grabbing a bottle from one of the bags and opening it, taking a small drink. “And after a while they just started calling me an asshole and just doubting that I didn’t need a plan B and basically believing I was just going to fail, even with Jameson right there helping me. And I tried even pointing out to JT that you rooted for her being the first female red you’ve met and she was going to remark but Aaron stopped her and that’s where the dick comment came in on top of being considered an asshole.”

Kida nodded softly. She slid over and hugged Rina, leaning her head against her friend's shoulder. "Well, we just have to work to e better, I guess," she said. "I was horrible to all of you, and thank God you, Aaron, and Jaxon aren't holding all of this against me. As for Amaranth, she'll probably think twice about screwing with our heads like that."

Rina nodded softly, taking another drink. “Probably. Or she’ll not give a hoot and try it again but stronger, depends on how her magic’s fucked up being outside the dimension.” she said. “I’ve had enough people in my life consider me a failure, I didn’t want to fail another friend, not when I was so close to getting through.”

After Aaron made it back to the apartments, he stood on the roof, enjoying the gentle breeze. He went through a lot today, playing the role of negotiator to peacemaker to fighter and it left him tired but he couldn't help but get in this great view for just a moment before going inside. Once he was satisfied, he went inside he walked past the gym, only to hear sounds of loud grunting and growling. He stopped and stepped back for a moment, only to find JT inside, brutalizing the heavy bag. He decided to walk in the gym and simply looked on as the Pink Ranger was throwing heavy shots on the bag like the object stole her lunch money.
"You know, I'm not sure of what that poor bag did to you." JT was so in her own zone, Aaron's voice startled her, causing her to spin around and throw a kick that Aaron barely caught. "Nice to see you too." Aaron smirked.
"Sorry." JT stepped back once Aaron let her foot go, apologizing for the sudden attack.
"It's cool." Aaron sat on the nearest weight bench. "I was going to ask how you were holding up but I don't need my ninja training to see the answer to that question." The Black Ranger added. "She really struck a nerve, didn't she?"
JT sighed, looking at Aaron, still visibly frustrated. "I get it. I get why she didn't want to lay hands on her friend but it's how she went about it that really pissed me off." She tried to hit the bag a few more times but now she couldn't concentrate, so she stopped. "She had the nerve to tell me I'm not qualified among other shit and after how she spoke to all three of us, she doesn't even have the decency to woman up and apologize for being so damn rude? This isn't some hobby for me! I chose this path when I could have easily lived a cushy life off of my parents' efforts but I wanted to do more. I wanted to pay it forward and protect the earth just like those who came before me and I refuse to tolerate that kind of disrespect, even if it's from someone I consider a friend." JT threw a kick at the bag with enough force behind it to cause the bag to swing considerably. "I have to deal with enough of that back home with people doubting me or believing that I was handed the Red mantle because of who my dad is and I'm not dealing with it here! I'm not!"
Aaron watched as she poured her heart out, understanding her just a bit better. He got down off of the bench and sat on the floor next to her, rubbing her back as tears slowly welled up in her eyes. "I get it. You feel like you have a lot to prove because of your upbringing and Rina struck a very sore spot. Here's the thing though. You have to channel that anger. Beating the shit out of Rina changes nothing. You are a great fighter and an amazing Ranger and nobody can take that away from you. Use that passion to be better and show anyone who doubts you how wrong they are."
JT sniffed a bit, wiping her eyes while Aaron continued to talk. "It's not going to happen overnight but I believe you can get that temper under control and be the best version of yourself but you have to do it for you and we'll be here every step of the way."
JT looked up at Aaron, finishing her sobs although her eyes were slightly red. "Thank you." She said, seemingly much calmer now than she was ten minutes ago. "I needed that. I'll be better."
"I know you will." Aaron smiled. "I mean, not better than me but you'll be better." He said, earning a chuckle from the Pink Ranger.
"Asshole." She said, pushing him in a playful manner. She stood up, helping Aaron to his feet. "I'm gonna go sleep it off. I'll see you later?"
"You know where to find me, your majesty!" Aaron said with a mock bow, earning a middle finger from the young Ranger. She left the gym, heading back to her apartment for the evening. Aaron looked at JT for a moment as she left before he sat on the weight bench for a moment, holding his head in his hands.
"I actually envy you, Princess." He said to himself. "You know who you are without question which is more than I can say for myself these days." He stood up and left the gym, heading back to his own room for the day, hoping that tomorrow will be better.

After Jaxon finished up with recharging the souls at the Command Center with Jameson, Jaxon went back to the apartments to get a shower and get a good nights sleep in hopes that tomorrow with whatever came knocking, that the team would be ready for.

Her and Jax for that matter cause there’s never a point in time I’ve questioned their leadership skills. Just when she felt that you didn’t need to be talked to. They’re not going to listen to me anyway and I didn’t really say anything that needs to be apologized for.”

JT made it back to her quarters and simply plopped down on the front of her bed. She pulled out her phone and looked through a few photos, mainly that of her team and her family. "I promise. I promise I'll make y'all proud." Once she had calmed down, it began to hit her how much she missed her family. After sitting in silence for a few moments, she switched some music on, cutting on the shower in her bathroom, cranking up the hot water to the max.
On his way back to his apartment, Aaron passed by Kida's apartment and heard some faint chatting. Now wanting to be a snoop, he kept walking before eventually getting to his apartment. Once inside, he closed the door behind him and sat on the floor, hoping that things would work themselves out within the team because the alternative was not a pleasant one if they remained so fractured. There was one thing that popped up that he almost forgot to do.
"Mayumi?" He spoke into his morpher. "You got a sec?"

Rina glanced up at Kida after she took the bottle and joked after she took a drink, looking down and reaching for the second spoon before scooping a decent amount of ice cream from the container the red ranger had already opened and placing it in her mouth.
Kida laughed and grinned, shaking her head. "Yeah, yeah. Ice cream thief in every reality. Ass," she said, nudging Rina and smiling. SHe leaned back and stretched, kicking her shoes off and letting htem thump on the floor. Rubbing her eyes, the Red Ranger bit her lip and took her SPD Morpher out, opening it and looking at the picture of her with Megumi and the girls when they were younger. She stared at the picture for a few minutes, not realizing she'd zoned out.

"No that's okay. You don't have to come down." Aaron quickly responded. "With all of the commotion going on, I just wanted to say that was a good call with UtahTwist." He said, offering praise to the former Ranger. "You're not in the field anymore but you still found a way to help. So thanks."
"Hey, now. Don't go getting soft on me now, Kane," Mayumi said with a small smile. "What would your brother say if he found out you were being sappy as all hell?" She giggled and smiled softly, sitting up and rubbing her head. "Honestly, I'm just glad it worked. With everything else that was going on...we needed a quick think, and since my powers don't really work, I'm glad Jameson got it finished." She sighed softly, looking out of the window.
Mayumi bit her lip, changing the subject for a minute. "You think we'll ever get home?"

Rina nodded, pulling the spoon out as she swallowed. She grabbed the pint and twisted the spoon around in it softly, the ice cream having started to slightly melt between the trip from the store to just sitting out as they talked. She felt the pendent against her neck softly as she just stared at the ice cream.

"Me sappy?" Aaron laughed at the notion of him being extra warm and fuzzy but was silently thankful that he didn't hear his conversation with JT in the gym. She'd never let him hear the end of it. "I can hear him now... you're giving me a bad name with being so cottonelle tissue soft!" When Mayumi changed the subject, Aaron stayed the course in terms of his demeanor.
"Of course we will. We have to get home so we can hear Uryuu geek out at the what we've been able to see or Davis cursing himself for missing out on someone who loves wrestling more than he does. Hell, we can look forward to Kumiko say little but ask so many good questions and my brother? I can hear him now." Aaron said, impersonating his Red counterpart. "Whoever chose that group clearly got it wrong! They picked three Red Rangers and you missed out on the best one!"
