If you would have been around my family, Nolan included, we are blunt. We don't mince words. However, it seems with this group I might have to." Jaxon said as he lifted his welding helmet. "Encouragement was never a strong suit in my family. When Nolan or myself messed up, they called us out on it, showed us what we did wrong, and then try it again. Once we did it right, then we got the encouragement and praise. That's all I was trying to do but I guess the way I was raised isn't what's best for everyone...." Jaxon said as he shook his head in realization. "Look, I'll apologize to her later..I gotta get welding on the souls." Jaxon stated as he put his helmet back down and started welding.

Jameson handed Kida back the two Souls, smiling as he did. "YOu may not think it now, but you're going to be a great Red Ranger, even if you doubt yourself. What would your wife say?" he asked.
Kida snickered, closing her fists around the Souls. "Megumi would say "Quit sulking, pull your bra up and kick ass. Didn't marry a quitter, so get your shit together and put boot to ass!" while dragging me up by my bra and shoving me out the door," she said. She sighed softly, rubbing her head. "Let's get back. Maybe we'll find Flaris and I'll put this new Soul to use."
"Yeah, it won't work in the morpher," Jameson said.
"What?!"
"Yeah, it works in conjunction with the Steel Edge Saber," the former Red Mystic Ranger said. "Alpha gave me another Morpher and I tried making the Soul work inside it, but it doesn't. Tried it in the Saber and it worked fine. So I'm making these new Souls to work in conjuction with the Sabers instead. I'll give this same talk to the others when we're back."
The pair walked out of the Youth Center and around to the alley before teleporting out, landing in the COmmand Center.
Kida caught the tail end of the conversation between Jaxon and JT. She looked at the Red Soul in her hand, biting her lip before walking over. "I get it, y'know? I am not the person I'd have chosen for leading a team. I've gone over things a dozen times, trying to think of why it'd pick an abuse survivor alien policewoman over someone more qualified like either of you two or even fucking Aaron. I don't have answers for why they did this. Let us see something in ourselves we haven't experianced? Maybe. Universe playing with our expectations? Most likely. Can we get through it? Yes. It's going to take work, especially on my part, to learn how to get out of the "You're fourth in line" mindset and learn how to lead. But I can't do it alone. Soon as Flaris shows her fucking flaming mug, we take her down. I'll pop the Soul soon as possible when it happens."
Rina looked over and smirked, folding her arms as she looked at Jameson and Aaron. "Well, looks like she's starting to get it already. What'd you say to her?" she asked.
"Just told her to think of what her wife would say and she got her head out of her ass," Jameson said with a shrug. "She's right about one thing. It's going to take everyone helping each other to get things done efficently. And that means being patient with her as she's learning."
"As patient as we can be," the Green Ranger said. "We know the Overseer won't let us rest for long."

Rina looked over and smirked, folding her arms as she looked at Jameson and Aaron. "Well, looks like she's starting to get it already. What'd you say to her?" she asked.
"Just told her to think of what her wife would say and she got her head out of her ass," Jameson said with a shrug. "She's right about one thing. It's going to take everyone helping each other to get things done efficiently. And that means being patient with her as she's learning."
"As patient as we can be," the Green Ranger said. "We know the Overseer won't let us rest for long."
"Yeah, you're right. He'll keep up the pressure and we have to be ready." Aaron nodded in agreement. "As long as we get on the same page, everything should work itself out."

After hearing Jaxon somewhat relent, Kida addressed the former Red Rangers and something she said reminded her of what her dad said. Shortly before she left, her father told her that in order to be a better leader, she needed to learn how to follow. Maybe this is what he was talking about. With what was going on today, it was becoming clear that Kida wasn't the only one that had something to learn and grow from.
"Okay." JT smiled. "We have your back. We'll get this done."

Jaxon had continued to weld as the sparks and the sound of the welding machine drowned out the sounds of the conversations the other rangers were having. He felt calm and destressed as he continued to weld the souls.

Kida nodded, walking over and nudging Jaxon. "Jax! We got work," she said. "Let's put this bitch on ice!"

Rina nodded, folding her arms and leaning against the console. "So, what about you?" she asked. "Obviously where you're from, the Hidden Leaf Village is real."
"Yeah. I took some time to watch an episode or two of the anime and everything they do in the show only scratches the surface of what us shinobi are really capable of." Aaron spoke of the Naruto anime which was a cartoon version of his home world.
Kida opened her mouth to speak, but the alarms went off, lighting the Command Center up. "Alpha?" she asked.
"Flaris is back. Rampaging near downtown. The fires are spreading again," Alpha said. "Go, Rangers!"
Before Aaron could elaborate further, the alarms interrupted their dialogue. "Looks like it's time to go to work." He said, standing up straight.
"Let's go snuff this bitch out!" JT added, eager to take Flaris on again.

Once we teleport in, I'll hit that PterIce Soul, take the fight to Flaris and put some of the fires out. Jaxon, Rina, civilians. Get them away from teh fires if you can. JT, Aaron, anything gets between Rina and Jaxon, put them in the ground," Kida said. "Sound good?"
Alpha stood back and watched, seeing the change in Kida's attitude and demeanor from taht morning to now. "We'll make a Red Ranger out of her yet," he said.

"Gotcha." Aaron responded, nodding in understanding with the Red Ranger's plan. "I've got them covered." His response prompted a quick retort from JT.
"Don't you mean WE have them covered?!"
"No, I had it right the first time. You're welcome to watch or take on any leftovers I have." Aaron winked at the Pink Ranger, enjoying the light banter between the pair.
"The only thing I'll be watching is my W's piling up, asshole." JT poked out her tongue at the Black Ranger, lightly prodding the shinobi before turning her attention back to Kida. "Sounds good to me."

Jaxon simply nodded when he heard Kida's plan. He didn't open his mouth this time as he wanted to see where Kida's head was after their squabble. Jaxon also needed to see the proof in the pudding too.

Kida nodded, grabbing her Soul and flipping it open. "It's Morphin' Time!" "Dino Steel!" the five Rangers yelled, quickly morphing and teleporting back to Angel Grove to take down Flaris for the final time. The Coronites and the Elemental herself turned, seeing the Rangers. "Well, well...you five are back again!" Flaris laughed. "What are you going to do now?!" "Jaxon, Rina. Go. JT, Aaron, protect them and any civilians," Kida said, taking the PterIce Soul out of her belt as her saber appeared in her hand. "I'm going to end you, Flaris. I'm going to enjoy it too." "Like hell!" Flaris laughed, launching fireballs at the Rangers. "Go, guys!" Kida yelled, swinging otu and blocking the fireballs. "Let's see what Jameson whipped up." SHe flipped the PterIce Soul open, opening the mouth of the Saber before slamming it inside and closing the mouth again. PTERICE ARM rang out from the Saber, a chill sweeping over the Red Ranger as her suit gained armor. "Ptera Tyranno Power! Dino Steel PteraArmor Red Ranger!" Kida said, lowering her sword. "This is gonna be fun!" "IMPOSSIBLE!" Flaris snarled.  |

Jaxon simply nodded again as he ran to nearby civilians and started helping them to run to safety. As he got them to safety his head was almost cleaned off his head from a cronite attack. Jaxon was able to arch his back and kip up back to his feet before a side kick to the cronite's gut.
