When the principal pulled that robot arm off of Victor, I laughed out loud from the sheer stupidity of that. I'm giving this episode a 1/5. I thought this episode was bad, but I will say that the saving grace was Mick. Mick is the best character in Ninja Steel to me, and "I have no idea what you're talking about. I just wanted to be good at tennis" is one of the best lines in the show. 1/5?? That means in your opinion this could be one of the worst episodes Ninja Steel has put out... I cant buy that. It wasnt one of the best but Ill give it top 10 right now I think I've been more than fair to Ninja Steel, but to be honest, I don't think this is a good show at all. I don't even like Dino Charge, and this season is worse than it. At this point, 1's and 2's are pretty much par for the course for Ninja Steel to me.

Kyuranger episode 35: I feel like I like this episode more the first time I watched it. I'm reading the comments, and some people seemed to have completely wrote this episode off as just singing idol bullcrap, and I can't blame them, because I almost did, but I thought that scene in the dressing room was great...the first time, but after a rewatch, it's just okay, but it has a problem that's indicative of one of the big problems with Kyuranger and the characters. As a whole, I think this episode is meh.
The Good: I like the idea of this episode, with them having to see what's the deal with Hoshi Minato. It sounds silly, especially with the singing competition, but Jark Matter using it to control people makes it tie into the overall plot, so I'm okay with this episode conceptually. I like the scene with Hammy and Naga in the dressing room. I'm like, "Where was this scene 29 episodes ago when we were doing that Mr. Pega bullcrap?"
The Bad: However, that's one of my problems with that backstory: that it comes this late. One thing I'm realizing as I watch more sentais and KR shows is that backstory is cool, but it's meaningless when it doesn't tie into that character's personality, development, or the plot. Yeah, we learn this stuff about Hammy, but it kinda falls flat because it doesn't tie into her personality. All it is is just information. I don't even know what she means by "An empty heart". Did she used to be an emotionless person, or a person who didn't have much of a reason to live, or an identity, and being a Kyuranger allowed her to learn more about herself? That could have been an interesting character, but what we get is this bland character who laughs at Lucky, for some reason, then stopped doing that, for some reason. Look at a show like Gokaiger, or the current show I'm watching now, OOO, and those characters' backstories perfectly form who they are and tie into the plot, and aren't just exposition so that we can pretend we learned something. That scene with Hammy had potential, but it should have came early, and laid the groundwork to develop her further. That's how you create a fleshed out character.
Also, how many times are they gonna defeat Don Armage? I know this show just hinted at there being multiple Don Armage's, and killing him this many times is supposed to show how powerful he is, but it has the opposite effect. When we do defeat him for the final time, it's gonna fall flat, and not have the impact it should have, especially since SS likes to leave hanging threads for movies down the line.
Next episode: It looks like they go to Lucky's homeworld, help some people, then get the new ShiShi Minor Voyager. It looks straightforward, but this show will most likely find a way to screw it up. It almost always does.

"That lousy dog ruined my plan!" "Now it's time for us to ruin your day." I thought that line was awesome, and I also liked "This kitty's litter." I also appreciated that they didn't talk during the fight scenes. Other than that, I thought this episode was a complete waste of time. I thought it was stupid. I'm giving it a 1/5.

Kyuranger episode 34: I skipped Go-Busters and Kyoryuger as they aired, only to go back and watch them and have them be some of my favorite sentais, and every sentai since, while not bad (except for Ninninger), I haven't been as invested in them as I wanted to be, so the last sentai I was 100% invested in, that I was actually sad to see go, and that I actually watched as it aired, was Gokaiger. It's a shame, because now I'm getting to that point where I'm starting to get sick of this show and I just want it to be over as soon as possible, and I don't like feeling this way. I thought this episode had good ideas, but ultimately, it was just stupid.
The Good: I like the idea of the prototype Champ. I like the idea of Champ going into hiding so that he can find out about his past. I like the idea of Champ being hesitant to join the group because he found out he wasn't built for justice. I also like the idea of him malfunctioning as a side effect of Scorpio's attack.
The Bad: I was looking forward to this prototype Champ thing, because something as significant as this was worthy of its own arc, and it all gets resolved in this episode. Why not let the characters wonder for more than 10 seconds if it's the real Champ, and deal with that drama from there?
Another problem I had with this episode is that stupid joke of everyone but Garu knowing that that was really Champ. I have no words to articulate how stupid that was. It undercut all of the potential drama of the episode. The ideas were there, but Kyuranger just can't get out of its own way sometimes. At this point in the show, I think I've seen enough where I already know how I'm gonna rank it, but I'll be fair and wait until the shows over.
Next episode: Of course Hammy is gonna be doing some singing and dancing, idol bullcrap. It looks stupid. I feel like I'm calling this show stupid a lot. I really need to find another word. Dumb? Unintelligent? Idiotic?

I've finally finished Fourze, and man, I love it. A lot of KR fans are not gonna agree with what I have to say or how I rank this one. Fourze might be my biggest guilty pleasure toku show. It's certainly not perfect, and I do have my problems, but I love the characters and the camaraderie with the Kamen Rider Club. I also love the theme of friendship in this show. Fourze is a better space-themed sentai than Kyuranger, and that's saying something. How ironic that Kamen Rider is supposed to be the show with 1 main protagonist, yet Fourze has better characters and a better sense of teamwork than the show called "Space Team 9 Ranger". Over all of the Zordon era, Dino Thunder, and especially over Megaforce, Megaranger, and Ninja Steel, Fourze is my favorite high school-based toku show. While I can't put it over Drive, (and I know what I'm about to say is gonna be blasphemous to a lot of people), I put it over Ex-Aid and Gaim. I got into SS with Gokaiger, and this show aired along with it, and if I had gotten into KR at the same time, I could have been watching this and Gokaiger together. Between that and skipping Go-Busters and Kyoryuger as they aired, I'm gonna be kicking myself for this for all eternity. Up next is OOO, which I hear people like. I'm looking forward to it. As for my ranking:
Current KR Ranking: 1) Drive 2) Fourze 3) Ex-Aid 4) Gaim 5) Wizard 6) Ghost

Well, that's disheartening to hear. I'm literally about to watch the first episode right now, and I just listened to the theme song (which, by the way, I love, and is my favorite ninja sentai theme) and the visuals make it seem like it's gonna be a fairly serious sentai. Carranger was a parody, so it was more over-the-top than usual sentais, but I haven't heard anyone say Kakuranger was a parody, so if it's as silly as Carranger, that's surprising. There are lighthearted show I like, like Kyoryuger, Go-Onger, and Dekaranger, so if Kakuranger is gonna be silly, I can be okay with that, if it's done well. I guess we'll see.
Edit: Forget everything I just said. Sh Ranger, you called it. I just watched the first 5 episodes, and this show sucks.

After watching 2 terrible sentais in a row, I pray Ohranger doesn't make it a hat trick. Dammit, Ohranger. What did I just say? I finally got through the slog that was Ohranger. Ohranger is an exercise in what happens when every episode of a show is filler. This is one of the most boring and uninteresting sentais I've seen so far. Shows like Gaoranger, Zyuohger, and ToQger are shows I appreciate more than I actually like, but I wouldn't say they're bad, but shows like Megaranger, Carranger, and now Ohranger are a test of patience. Now, my next sentai is Kakuranger, and I don't know how to feel about that. I was excited for Ninninger, but that turned out to suck, and I was excited for Hurricaneger because I hated Ninninger, and that also turned out to suck. After watching 3 crap sentais in a row, and 2 crap ninja sentais, I don't want to make the same mistake and assume Kakuranger is gonna be good, but at the same time, if it is good, I don't want to regret not being excited for it. I'm just gonna go in with no expectations. If Kakuranger sucks, my soul might break. I'm at episode 41 of Fourze, and I should be finished with that either today or tomorrow, and then I'm on to OOO. As for my sentai ranking, Ohranger is definitely not worst than Carranger, because that will be a feat, but trying to decide between whether it's worse than Megaranger or not was tough, but I ultimately settled with the fact that at least Megaranger pretended to develop its characters, which is more than Ohranger bothered to do, and at least Megaranger had the Psycho Rangers, and also, more importantly, the Diet Crepe song, so my ranking goes: Current Sentai Ranking: 1) Gokaiger 2) Shinkenger 3) Gekiranger 4) Go-Busters 5) Magiranger 6) Dekaranger 7) Gingaman 8) Timeranger 9) Kyoryuger 10) Boukenger 11) Go-Onger 12) Goseiger 13) Abaranger 14) GoGo V 15) Zyuohger 16) Gaoranger 17) ToQger 18) Hurricaneger 19) Ninninger 20) Megaranger 21) Ohranger22) Carranger

I'm giving this episode a 1.5, but I'm rounding it up to 2. I like the idea of the monster using the rangers' voices against them, even though I don't know how he got their phone numbers. I like the idea of the student class president election, but I don't care for how it was executed. I liked the scenes, until we get into more Victor and Monty bullcrap. I forgot how much I didn't miss them until I saw them show up. The conflict of the episode started out about Calvin being unreliable, then Victor and Monty's bullcrap happen, then the conflict becomes about the rangers not believing each other about who started the fight. Mick was right. Why would they believe the other rangers would do something like that? This whole conflict feels forced, especially because they encountered the monster before, and saw its voice-changing power. There were some stuff I liked, but overall, I can't say I thought it was a good episode.

Kyuranger episode 33: I know I'm late, but I guess committing to doing these every week is harder than I thought. Plus the fact that I always like to watch the episode twice, and if I have to choose between watching Kyuranger again and watching Fourze, I'd rather be watching Fourze. Anyway, as for this episode, This is one of the meh-est episodes of the show so far. I don't even really have much to say about it.
The Good: Despite not thinking this is a bad episode, this episode is so straight-forward, there really isn't anything note-worthy that sticks out to mention. The plot and the action are all okay. I don't mind the Orion Battler, though it's not as cool as other final mecha that I could name. This could have been just a solid average episode, but...
The Bad: The bad is what brings this episode down. Everything about Hammy, Spada, and Balance was just stupid, unfunny, and pointless. The monster has the ability to twist personalities? In Hammy's case, he worked a miracle that was more miraculous than the Saikyo Kyutama, because Hammy doesn't have a personality to twist. The real shame is that this is the first time Hammy had a personality in the whole show, and it's an annoying one. Just my luck.
But not as annoying as Eris. I don't even have any "she's annoying" jokes for this one. Anytime she's on screen, even if it's for a short scene, I want her off as soon as possible.
This is a nitpick, but I was looking forward to seeing what the new ship would look like on the inside, and it looks the same. That was disappointing, but I guess you gotta save that budget somewhere.
Next episode: This "2 Champs" thing does have me interested, but I wish we could have gotten more focus for one of the more lesser developed characters.

The first episode would be entirely original footage. The red ranger's dad was a great astronaut and he disappeared ten years ago. The Red Ranger is the new kid in town. When the Red, Green, and Yellow rangers arrive in the forest, a monster attacks them and the mystical space balls choose them, they get their morphers, and they accidentally morph. They fight off the monster while making puns. After the battle, they demorph and the episode ends. Next year, his dad returns as a ranger, (Houou Soldier) after his little brother becomes a sky blue ranger. This is why I'm glad we can like posts now. As for what I would want to see, I'm not really picky about anything except for this: I don't expect this to happen, but I would want the show to have more of a vibe of In Space. I want it to feel less like Dino Charge and Ninja Steel. I want them to keep the main premise of Kyuranger, but it doesn't have to be the whole universe got taken over. It could be just the world. I think that's fine. I'm expecting them to keep the Garu, Balance, Champ, Raptor, and Xiao suits because it's cheaper, and I'm okay with that because I like the suits. The last thing I want is for the show to take its time and pace out the introduction of the characters.

I thought this episode was meh. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I'm right in the middle. I would give it a 2.5/5, so I'm just gonna round it up to 3. The fact that it wasn't a clip show makes me like the other Neo-Saban clip show episodes less, because it feels like if they could make this episode not a clip show, the other ones didn't have to be clip shows. As for other stuff I like. I like the hat thing with Preston and Hayley, the "Aren't you gonna put on your costume" joke with Calvin and Hayley (actually pretty much that whole scene with them introducing themselves with the costumes), and I liked it when Preston tried to flip the hourglass over. As for the stuff I didn't like, I still have dialogue problems with this show, I didn't care for the lesson of the day, and why does Cosmo bother having rules to the game if he is just gonna do what he wants anyway?

If we're talking just Power Rangers, Eric from Time Force is my favorite. The only ones I don't like are Sam, Tyzonn, Robo Knight, Orion, and Levi. Antonio is okay, and I also don't like James and Zenowing, but they're not technically 6th rangers.

I love Shinkenger, Gekiranger, Go-Busters, and Magiranger, and Dekaranger and Kyoryuger are 2 of the most fun sentais I've ever watched, but if I had to pick one, which I don't, but if I did, my number one answer can't be anything other than Gokaiger. Gokaiger is such a perfect love letter to the franchise of SS, but it's my first sentai, and my favorite, and half the reason I'm doing this watchthrough of SS is so that I can rewatch Gokaiger having seen all of the sentais, and as I'm watching these past sentais, I'm remembering moments from Gokaiger that I now get the joke of. For example, I remember watching the Go-Onger tribute episode and seeing Speedor and Bear R-V having gotten married and had a kid, and I remember thinking that was cute, but it doesn't really hit you how hilarious that is unless you've seen Go-Onger. Gokaiger is chock-full of other stuff like that. When I do rewatch Gokaiger, after having that emotional connection to the past sentais, I already know I'm gonna tear up while watching it. I can't help but to think of Gokaiger as I'm watching these past sentais, so Gokaiger is the sentai that makes me the most happy even when I'm just thinking about it. As for KR, I love Drive, and think Ex-Aid was really good, but Fourze, the current one I'm watching, which I'm only 15 episodes into, is the most fun I've had watching a KR show. I love this show. Heck, I'm building my own SS and KR playlists, and in my KR playlist, you can tell how much I love Fourze just by how much bigger the Fourze Section is: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcnCiq44RYEr2vo20g1ifDxD1OlUqGkfY Fourze's soundtrack kicks ass, and even when I'm not watching it, just listening to the soundtrack puts me in my happy place.
