Ep. 12: Ultimate Mystery - Holy cow, talk about coming back with a bang. Lokar’s nephew, Beast Morphers crossover, the return of Zedd, more depth on Amelia’s search for her parents. This season suddenly cranked up to eleven. Lokar has a nephew?! The same giant floating head with the spikes on head from season one of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers?! As in the American counterpart of Dai Satan from Kyoryuu Sentai Zyuranger? That Lokar?!

S2 Ep. 13 - Love Hate - All I can say is FINALLY 🙌. Ollie was so cute at the beginning, shame it went so wrong. I feel like they could have gone harder with the evil Ollie fight scene though. Like Amelia should have been there and they could have had him stop himself from hurting her, or have her love confession be what snapped him out of it. And I’m still so annoyed that they never let Power Rangers kiss.
S2Ep. 14 - Rafkon Revealed - Finally getting to Rafkon was really cool. I gotta say, while I think Aiyon is great in the ensemble, he’s always annoying AF in his own focus episodes lol. Like, The Morphin’ Master clearly did not say at any point that he would take down Lord Zedd solo. Also while I don’t hate Jane and J-Borg as much as past comedy duos, their subplot in this kne was an absolute waste of screentime.
(warning manor spoilers inbound)
S2Ep. 15 - Morphin’ Master - HOLY S**T. This episode had some big finale energy. I can’t believe they actually went and destroyed Rafkon after jusy finding it. I also love how they gave an explanation for the weird AF meteor/dino coin thing from Grid Connection 😅. I’m assuming the Master Green is also responsible for Kendrix’s ressurection. I hope this isn’t really the end of Zedd, cuz while the climax was pretty cool it was also kinda anti-climactic because the Rangers themselves did very little in the actual battle against him. I also kinda wish Master Green had stayed trapped so they no longer had this Deus Ex Machina lady to rely on.

Overall, I think it was a good season. Still, far from perfect. I like the fact they put more input in other characters other than Red, and Amelia was the biggest streght. Still, there were issues in some episodes, it was a little rushed through the end, and again the use of Zedd amd the Morphin Masters. I think that was the lowest in creativity and more pulled from the a55 since Megaforce' Gosei "here some new weapon". I like it, I don't love it, there is some improvement there, but there is some flaws carried from Beast Morphers. It's 6/10.

I wish that I could say that this show is better than Kishiryuu Sentai Ryuusoulger in terms of adaptation. But, unfortunately, I can't because I don't have that same energy and drive to analyze what did and didn't work in adaptation. All, I know is that this season was at its' weakest when they turned Tarrick into Void King and when we got to episode 14 where they just used the Green Morphin Master as a great big Deus-ex-machina no jitsu!!

S2E16 - Wishful Thinking - A rather…odd episode. Izzy turning into a T-Rex zord? WTF. The good part was the increased focus on Amelia’s parents we’re getting. I like that they didn’t show up at all unlike when they did this same plot with Tyler’s dad. I’m also kinda surprised neither of the Rafkon boys wanted to wish find where their people are.
S2E17 - Things Unspoken - Excellent! They’ve done a wonderful job with Izzy and Fern’s relationship, and the drama they faced this episode didn’t feel at all forced or cliché. I loved the way Izzy subtly revealed her identity at the end instead of it being a big thing like past seasons.

This is what I think about the final episodes of Dino Fury (Season Two)...

S2E18 - Guilt Trip - So, this was probably the weakest episode of the back half yet, perhaps even the weakest of the whole season. Sending the Rangers away to Japan as a distraction was smart, only for the Voids plan to absolutely flop. But the biggest issue for me was… Dr. Akana expecting Ollie to do her job for her. Why the hell is it his responsibility? Why was AN ENTIRE JAPANESE LABORATORY completely put on hold because they were waiting for some random American teenager to do their calculations for them. The moral completely flopped for me here. It was Megaforce-esque writing quality.
S2E19 - Bad Vibes - On the flip side I thought this one was great. Javi and Izzy being evil was a fun twist, and I loved that their family love snapped them out of it in the end in a way that didn’t feel too cheesy. And a cliffhanger ending! We’re heading into the endgame now.

E12 Review: This episode was terrible. It suffers from the same problems with the attempt to be like MMPR. With Lothorn being one of the scariest monsters the rangers have fought and all he does is tell jokes about his feet and him mentioning Angel Grove and mentioning a monster that was fought in the last episode of MMPR Season 1 tells me the monster was pointless for nothing more than MMPR nostalgia bait. Who is Lokar to the current viewer?
Amelia relieving that she loves mystery solving as a way to find her parents was great, but the build up was terribly handled and something that SHOULD have been established in the first half of Dino Fury season 1, not the second half when we are almost done.

E13 Review: I really liked this episode. I love the chemistry between Ollie and Amelia, and Heel Ollie and the Rangers.
Only problem is that like the last episode, They never established or set up Ollie and Amelia having feelings for each other, and that fake flirting from the very third episode of Dino Fury doesn't count. This came out of nowhere and was never planted.
I like that the villians got screwed over by Zedd. You'd think the villians would learn about what happened to the Machine Empire and also like Ledd's monster partner with a power that Zedd probably wished he could've used on his father-in-law.
A Good episode, and great at keeping the Ranger c-ckblocking tradition.

E14 Review: This would have been a better episode if it wasn't saddled with unfunny comedy duo crap with Jane and her dime store Humagear, though I did like the Trojan Horse thing.
Aiyon really thinks he's more important than he is, which was really pathetic. And all these monsters telling terrible jokes is starting to get annoying. I'm getting sick of the MMPR-esqe humor and writing on this show
That higher ground of Rafkon scene is STILL a thing of beauty, as was Zayto longing to go home only for his homecoming to be cut short. Looks like Lord Zedd's still got it. Taking down rangers like it's nothing.

E15 Review: This episode was horrible. Thanks to the BS deus ex Morphin masters that recently even Simon said was a problem (so why even write it), the MMPR-esqe writing and the unnecessary retcons, basically saying that everything the Power rangers has done in the past 30 years has no merit if the Green Morphin master was behind everything, but I'm not getting into it again.

E16 Review: Technically, this is a re-hash from a storyline from the LAST Dino-themed season. I didn't like the idea of all of this happening because Javi wants to be YouTube famous and neglecting his ranger duties and putting his team's well-being at risk just to be famous.
I LOVE Human Mucus, and I like the negative side effects of the wishes with Ollie becoming the Actual toy and Izzy becoming Tyramigo and Amelia being a little girl.
Love Solon riding, and them using Tyramigo for original footage.
A good episode overall.

So, tatsuranger....are you gonna be boycotting Cosmic Fury because it's basically a rehashing of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers season two or three where the fight scenes are original footages and the mech battles are just stock footages from a different Sentai series?

E17 Review: An absolutely amazing episode. An absolutely amazing Izzy focused episode and the monster was treated like a true threat. Felt like I was watching Donbrothers or the Power rangers of old.
She confessed both her love to her Fern and being the green ranger at the same time was amazing. Sucks that they didn't kiss like Luz and Amity did in the Owl House (they did the same crap from Time Force)
Hollywood, Marvel and DC should take notes. Dino Fury continues to show how LGBTQ representation can be done correctly.
