I am behind on Kiramager. Work's been draining me. Not to mention my phone going off like crazy and my folks bugging me.

I don't get the card game. So when I adapt the episode, I'm gonna have to change the game. That means people would have to imagine the cards on his head having been altered.

^ Karuta was a smart way to show that Sena's speed is useful for more than just running fast, an overspecialization stereotype that was deconstructed with Towa who often had difficulty making his attacks stick.
It was previously used in Ninninjer in an episode which had a guest appearance by Shurikenger. Although Kiramager is the first time we actually see someone playing it professionally.
I'm not an expert in the subject but I'll try and explain the basics. Each card has a poem which the players attempt to memorize before they're turned face down. The objective is to listen to the poem being recited and remove the matching card before the opponent.
The skills displayed by Sena in this episode include speed, observation and memory. She isn't a one trick pony. If you're still thinking about changing the game for your fanfic, I suggest one that allows your Green Ranger to shine at her brightest.

Curious if anyone knows the last time we got a sixth who's mech doesn't go into robo mode for this long? Now that Taka's mech hasn't transformed for 3 episodes.

It's missing that Diamond Core!
Any idea what gems Duston & Magellan are based on?

^ My guess is tanzanite for Duston and chrysoberyl for Magellan. I've also reconsidered Express and I think it looks like quartz.

Never heard of those two! There aren't any Gem-Knight monsters named after those.
I kind of saw Express as a Crystal. The locomotive is clearly Obsidian.

^ I'm literally just searching the web for gemstones that match their color and texture.
Jouki's texture seems to be a better match for onyx.

Really? Because a dinosaur could be closer to Obsidian since it's made from volcanos.

^ You have a good point. Although Jouki has a duller shine and deeper black like onyx, being a dinosaur, it would have more in common with obsidian. Who knows?
