I was look for Disney Channels top TV shows of 2017. Their ratings now are horrible!!! Nickelodeon is killing them in the ratings category. Now I know, Disney is bigger as a company but as far as rating for shows. Nick is winning. I just seen an article stating how their ratings are taking a nosedive. (New DuckTakes did a 0.28) Now with that being said, Saban's decision to rebuy the Power Rangers was genius. They were about to throw this show in the trash and I can bet if they stayed, It would be a top show on Disney but the ratings would be horrible. I seriously think Disney is in deep doo doo when it comes to their childrens channel. Cartoon network I'm not sure but I will predict their ratings aren't as good as Disney. For these reason right here is why I don't think Power Rangers is leaving Nick anytime soon. I know a lot of yall are saying go to Netflix. There is only one MAJOR problem with that.... NO COMMERCIALS..... Power Rangers toy sales would plummet!!! What you guys think??

Disney is really not in trouble and even if or was still there it's likely would be only at the same ratings it gets on nick presently. The issue nowadays is there so many channels, then on top of dvr, and streaming ways. Not every one is watching things live any more.

Well, Disney is withdrawing from Netflix in 2019 to begin their own streaming service, plus they've been acquiring oth franchises left and right. So I would say they're at least working to keep afloat. And although I enjoyed the seasons Disney produced, I'm not sure there's really any evidence Disney or Power Rangers as a franchise would have been better off, or worse, for a longer term.

Of course the fan base likely would be the same. But really like nick and it's sub channels and Disney and all there sub channels. The issue with broadcast shows in today age. Is there is far to many channels shows are on now. Plus dvr shows or streaming or network has a on demand part live viewers numbers are always going to be low.
And heck just looking any any rating figures for nick, Disney and there sub channels they don't usually hit large numbers. They are lucky to on average get 1 to 3 mill live viewers. Maybe an additional 1 to 2 mill with dvr numbers factored in. None of these networks have shows pushing more then a few mill viewers. Look at abc, fox, nbc, CBS these days you may get 1 or 2 shows on x network getting maybe 10 to 15 mill viewers but they rest hold 3 to 6 mill is range. Sure looking at numbers you may think that bad. And it could be. But ultimately it's all on networks heads if those numbers are good enough for them. And is the network making money.
