New series adapting the famous trilogy by Phil Pullman, previously adapted to the big screen as "The Golden Compass"
I thought the premiere was pretty good, a few pacing issues and a feeling I was being dropped in the middle of something aside it was enjoyable. I liked the X-Men movie connections (McAvoy and the girl who played X-23 in Logan are two of the main characters)
I've never read the books or seen the movie, so this is all new to me.
