Okay. I'll be going back next week anyway. Gotta stop by there four times so I can put $10 each on both games and another $10 for my strategy guide, which I hope will be available when the games come out.

Marshadow was released in the UK on Tuesday (10th October); technical faults prevented it from being released on Sunday October 1st.

^ Why? What's wrong with the codes? I think it's a good way to distribute Pokemon out. Personally, I think being able to get a Shiny Pokemon without the hassle of breeding hundreds of thousands of eggs is a good idea.

Not everybody wants to go out & get something to download. Namely due to schedules. Almost every download has been codes! A lot of people want to download from their home wifi.

Who cares if the last few have been codes? Used to be all you could get was Wi-Fi downloads. During Generation V all you could get were wi-fi downloads and 90% of the time, you had to go to the GameStop or other participating stores in whatever region you were in to get the download. Honestly, I think the Codes are better because you can get them one day, realize you don't have enough time to put them in right away, and set aside a little bit of time later in the week to scratch off the code and use it. I personally don't mind the codes. I don't throw the cards away when I'm done with them because I use the cards. Can't really do that with wi-fi can you? If you like it, great. If you don't, great. Everyone's entitled to their own opionion. I can see that mine is different from yours and that's great! But getting upset about something a large corporation does FOR FREE is a pretty petty thing to get heated about. The Pokemon Company doesn't have to do these card promotions or give away anything at all. Honestly, I think codes for Pokemon, especially Shiny Pokemon, are great because it saves the hundred or so hours you're going to spend breeding a Pokemon for a Shiny version. Like I said, if you like codes, great. If you don't like codes, great. All opinions are relevant to someone, even if you don't agree, like me liking them and you probably not liking them. Joys of humanity: we can have varying opinions on the topic and have a discussion!

Like I said. Not everybody can get around to going to places to get codes. One of my best friends works a lot and often doesn't punch out until 10P.M. And on her days off, she's busy with other things. Can you recall the last seven non-code downloads we've had that didn't revolve around getting the games or online tournaments???

Tapu Koko in July of this year, Meloetta, Keldeo, Victini, Shaymin, Manaphy, Celebi, Jirachi, all from last year during the 20th anniversary Mythical Pokemon events, and Yveltal, Xerneas, Zygarde from the Pokemon TCG Fates Collide release. And even though all of them were Legendary Pokemon, only three of the eleven were Shiny Pokemon (Tapu Koko, Yveltal, and Xerneas).
Edit: Forgot Regirock, Regice, and Registeel, but that was through the Pokemon Bank if you renewed or used it between 3/4/2016--10/31/2016.

Those involved Tournaments. Those don't count!

Actually, no. None of them invovled tournaments whatsoever. The three Legendarys from X/Y were released over Wi-Fi at the same time as the Fates Collide expansion for the TCG was released. Shiny Tapu Koko was released back in July to boost the release of the Guardians expansion for the TCG, and the rest were the Legendary Pokemon released during the 20th anniversary monthly events. Not a single Pokemon I listed was released because of tournaments. Here, see for yourself off of Serebii's website: www.serebii.net/events/2016.shtml
