"Do you really think being selfish is important than selfless?" The words were out before Uryuu could stop them. "I mean I’ve made my choices, and I do know who I am." He spoke thoughtly, adjusted himself despite being tied to. "But is living for myself worth it? Like you living for yourself?"
"Blue Ranger, living for yourself is not a crime. You can't depend on others to care for you more than you do." Orochimaru started pacing, smirking at the Jounin's plight. "No matter, it's only a matter of time before your friends come running."

"It will be dangerous out there." Kosei pointed out cautiously to the team and Asuma. "Are you certain you all know what you are doing?"
"How about you worry about licking your wounds after getting your ass kicked." Aaron took exception to anyone questioning his team, especially someone who abandoned one of his teammates.
"Let's go get our boy back." Aaron pulled out his Battle Morpher, quickly slamming in his shuriken before giving his morpher a quick spin. "SRS Engage!" He quickly morphed into the Red Ranger, taking off like a rocket.
Asuma sighed. "You all hurry and catch up with him. I'll make sure Kosei is situated." The sensei had a bad feeling about all of this and he couldn't seem to shake it. For now, all he could do was hope for the best until he figured things out.

"Don't listen to Aaron. He's just worried about Uryuu," Kumiko said putting her hand on Kosei's shoulder for a moment. She quickly got her morpher ready. "SRS Engage!" Once she morphed she hurried after Aaron.

Mayumi sighed softly, shaking her head. "SRS Engage!" she said, morphing before taking off beside Kumiko. "One of these days, his gung-ho attitude is gonna get him killed."

"I share your sentiment, Mayumi. SRS, ENGAGE!" Davis said as he took off as well into a running morph follwing the rest of the rangers.

The four Rangers quickly exited the village, moving towards the Tenchi Bridge with raging speed. Although this wasn't the most sound approach, the Red Ranger could care less as all he was worried about was saving his comrade while jumping from tree to tree. Little did any of the Rangers know, they would soon fall right into Proto's trap which wouldn't be for the feint at heart.

“Maybe. Maybe not.” Uryuu gritted out, his nails dug deep into his palms as he attempted to think another topic. “Why are you working with Proto in the first place? Surely you would've defeated us without his help."
Kosei smirked subtly as he watched Uryuu’s teammates leave to their doom. It’s all according to plan so far and once, they realized this it’ll be all too late. “Asuma, I can assure you I will go to the hospital myself. You do not have to worry about me. Besides, I know what I am doing.” Kosei assured the other Jounin as they were close to the hospital. With his poker smile grew widely, he inadvertently got himself exposed since he couldn't stop smiling.

"My reasons are my own and none of your concern." Orochimaru dismissed Uryuu immediately as to not wanting to give the Blue Ranger anything to feed on.

"You know...." Asuma stopped in his tracks, looking at the Jounin. "If you knew what you were doing, you wouldn't be smiling like that." Asuma spoke, finally catching on with what was going on. "You see, I knew something had to be off with you being the only squad member returning and without nothing from your comrades to signify life or death. Kidnapping Uryuu makes a lot of sense but for someone who is supposedly hurt with their fellow shinobi in danger, you're awfully happy."
Asuma then twisted Kosei's arm behind his back, pinning him against the nearest wall. "Now, you're going to tell me everything you know about why Uryuu was taken and then you're going to prison!"

"My reasons are my own and none of your concern." Orochimaru dismissed Uryuu immediately as to not wanting to give the Blue Ranger anything to feed on.
Uryuu opened his mouth, frustrated, ready to lay out more questions — because of course the Sannin was very enigmatic for his own purposes, and just because he planted seeds of doubt into the Blue Ranger didn’t mean Orochimaru had to be automatically right. He had to think of a way to escape and reflect the rest for later. He had to let him have his win, made him go after a weakness that wasn’t there. Play along with him. "True..." The Blue Ranger sighed sadly. "I'm just curious. I'm not asking as your enemy and all, but I suppose that will do no good. Oh well."

Kosei growled as he was being manhandled by Asuma. He should’ve known his smile would lead to his downfall. But no matter. “Fine. If it makes you happy.” He sneered insincerely. “I assist Kabuto to rig this mission so Orochimaru and Proto can get their hands on your precious Blue Ranger. Once his friends will arrive to his rescue, it is going downhill from here and they will fall to their demise. As for the other ninja that accompany me and Sawada-san, I simply knock them out so they are fine.”

"Good. Hold on to that curiosity. It won't matter once your comrades arrive but hold on to it." Orochimaru went over to the far table, looking down at all of his medical tools. The scalpel was looking particularly useful.

"I hope you don't think you deserve some sort of kudos because those other ninja are alive." Asuma's handling of Kosei drew a bit of a crowd with two nearby police rushing over. "This man is a traitor and contributed to a scheme to kidnap one Ranger and bring harm to others while working with Orochimaru's forces. The Jounin sensei handed Kosei off to the authorities who restrained him. After the traitorous Jounin was taken away, he started playing around with the communicator Aaron gave him.
"Is this thing on? Can anyone hear me?"

The other four Rangers were well on their way to the Tenchi Bridge when Asuma's voice came through their morphers.
"Yeah. What's going on? We're close to Tenchi Bridge." The Red Ranger answered his sensei, continuing to sprint from tree to tree.
"It's a trap! This was all a setup to kidnap Uryuu and lure you all in."
"How!? How did you figure that out?"
"It was Kosei. He's the traitor and confessed to Proto's plan!" Asuma's voice ran through all of the Rangers' communicators, allowing them to each hear of this plan and wretched betrayal.

"Son of a bitch!" Mayumi growled. "And we're running right into it! What should we do, Asuma?"
"Nothing changes." Aaron's traditional bravado gave way to uncommon fear. The fear wasn't for himself but for Uryuu and for losing another friend. "We're staying the course."
"But Asuma said it's a trap!"
"It doesn't matter! Uryuu is as good as dead if we leave him! We're going after him!" Aaron spoke, fully focused on the destination of the Tenchi Bridge.
Everything in Asuma's bones said that this was a bad idea and that they should regroup but unfortunately, Aaron was right about Uryuu. The Blue Ranger was as good as dead if they didn't do something.
"Please be careful." Asuma spoke in a hushed tone, eventually siding with the Red Ranger, even though he didn't want to.

"Good. Hold on to that curiosity. It won't matter once your comrades arrive but hold on to it." Orochimaru went over to the far table, looking down at all of his medical tools. The scalpel was looking particularly useful.
Once Orochimaru left, Uryuu took a deep sigh. He’d made it through this interrogation with the Sannin alive, and that’s all that matters. When he quickly glance at him examining a couple of tool, his heart dropped to his stomach. The Blue Ranger remembered the information about Orochimaru’s tendency to experiment ninjas for his own purposes, and he’s likely to be next. His hands were shaking as he ducked his head, praying the Sannin didn’t notice while he pondered. Since his near persuasion was working, he would have to continue doing this. At least to sucker him until he slithered back.
"So what are you going to do right now? Are you planning something to keep me occupied?" Uryuu asked, raising his head to take a look at Orochimaru.

"If the bridge is a trap, maybe we can set it off with our clone jutsu's." Davis said offering a suggestion. It was the only thing that came to mind after Aaron's decision to stay the course.

"They'd probably be ready for that." Kumiko spoke up. She didn't like the idea of trying to bull their way through whatever Proto has planned but they couldn't leave Uryuu to die either.
Thanks to their powers, the Rangers were able to make it to the Tenchi Bridge in record time. Aaron allowed his feet to touch the ground after traveling a long way. The Red Ranger kept his head on a swivel, looking out for the first sign of danger.
"Everybody stay sharp. Hopefully we find something that leads us to Uryuu."

"It's nothing you need to worry about." Orochimaru walked up to Uryuu, using his scalpel to pierce the Blue Ranger's arm until a small amount of blood began to seep out. "Interesting. It's not quiet sharp enough." The Sannin walked back to his work bench so that he could look for a sharper tool.

Mayumi looked around, her head swiveling around to cover every angle. "He hurts Uryuu, we're ripping his spine out and beating him with it, right?" she asked. "Because that's the only option right now."
