Slott's F4 runs ends this week with Reed meeting his half-sister & taking her on a family trip to see if she enjoys the wild life of the F4. She doesn't care for the more out there stuff but will keep in contact with Reed. All the while Johnny's finally cured of being on fire 24/7.
Overall I Slott's run on F4 petered out near the end but the book itself served it's purpose bringing the F4 back proper & being serviceable era since the break. Here's hoping Ryan North does excellent next time.

First look at Amazing Fantasy#1000 www.gamesradar.com/amazing-fantasy-1000-preview-celebrates-60-years-of-spider-man/Seems Neil Gaiman's piece is autobiographical, he recalls his childhood reading the old POW comics that reprinted Marvel content in the UK, playing with their free gifts and reading about Spidey's adventures. Slott's far future tale sees an elderly Mary Jane talking to Peter over the bluetooth. She nags him for being late to his birthday tea, something she arranges for him every year. She takes note of the fact Peter is breathing heavy, Peter dismisses it and banters more with her, then he hears a cry for help Another story sees Peter talk about the people in his life and things he messed up, how best friends turn out not to be so, and how ill his Aunt always gets. |

The Saved by the Belle Reeve special dropped & while some of the stories are fine we're all here for Super-Sons & it's enjoyable. Basically Jon & Damian go to a private school (West-Reeves academy which..Nice) & help out a non-binary student deal with bullies & standing up for themselves. While yeah it's a PSA comic essentially I don't care because it's a serviceable story & has a good message & I've been dying in a desert for good Jon content for the last year. Let. Me. Have. This.

A really good Amazing Fantasy issue from everyone
Hickman put together a nice little story where a council of Peters in the Spider-Verse tease Peter for his shortcomings, then tell him they're not any more special, and that he'll always pull himself together.
Neil Gaiman finally told us what really happened when he and Jonathan Ross met Steve Ditko after the cameras stopped rolling on the documentary Ross did.
Slott's story was an affectionate one, showing how truly loved a 60 year old Peter is by the entirety of New York City, Mary Jane arranged a birthday dinner for him which he was late for, then she visits him in the hospital where they make out, MJ nags him when he sneaks out of the ward to prevent a mugging, the doctors suss out she's his wife but are advised not to confirm it. MJ and Peter celebrate his birthday back at their apartment, where they have a pet dog. It's a happily ever after for the pair of them
Kurt Busiek's story is a direct sequel to a different tale in Amazing Fantasy#15, an egyptian warrior queen and her forces travel through time to conquer the world, only to be disgusted by how the 21st century has turned out and return to their own time and place

Probably won't be for awhile if true. Gerry Duggan was slated for the next Iron Man writer (but knowing Iron Man's book it'll probably be like 13 issues)

I really don't like the way the writing of Selina has been handled since King left (and even when King was writing Bat/Cat), they really are trying to make her out to be unlikeable...now she turns a blind eye to Penguin being alive because he's living a quiet life? She wants to be a bigger thorn in Batman's side? The hell is this crap? They better reveal she's being impersonated because this 180 doesn't gel at all with where King or even Tynion and Ram V left her.

Dark Crisis continues with the JSA doing their best to boost moral as Alan, Nightwing, "Jon" & Yara go & meet with the remaining JLD members as Swamp Thing talks about his encounter with the Great Darkness years ago during CoIE & that something may have altered it. All the while, Deathstroke Army of Evil engages in a fight with the Legion of Doom that see's the Lex & friends get possessed by the Great Darkness furthering Pariah goal & he recreates the infinite earths once more. Meanwhile with Barry free he rescue's Hal from John Stewart's paradise world & begins their plan in rescuing The League.
