Flash starts it's Dark Crisis tie-in this week. With the JL "dead" Mister Terrific instructs Wally & the other speedsters (barring Bart who's busy with Young Justice's tie-in) to go search for Barry. Irey & Jai decide to be dumb kids & prove themselves heroes by jumping into the portal leading into the Multiverse with Jay trying to rescue them. So now Wally not only needs to find Barry but find his kids (again!) Jai & Irey end up in a universe where Barry becomes Batman (because of course), Max Mercury, & Jesse Quick end up in a Mad Max universe, & Wally & Wallace end up in Barry's heaven universe.

So Bat/Cat concludes. Selina argued with Helena, Helena threw a tantrum. Selina buggered off and took a vacation where we learn Andrea's murder was faked by Clayface and she's alive. In flashback, we see Bruce and Selina get married. The end. WTF was the point of any of this.

On the other side of Batman's f***ed love-life aftermath of Shadow War is in Robin. Talia escapes to do her thing while Damian begins to turn the Island of Lazurus into a home for people like him & the other participants in the tournament. Right before Lord Death-man washes up warning about Damian's gf Flatline.

Preview of Batman#125 aiptcomics.com/2022/07/01/dc-preview-batman-125/So Zdarsky has the three Jokers cameo in a "Knightmare", and then confirms Selina is now sleeping with Valmont...but he's being smart here. While, yes, Selina's 'moved on', she's clearly worried about Bruce and is still flirting a bit with him over the phone. Bruce will always be more important to her than her current fling. She'll also be appearing in a back-up strip in the same book, also written by Chip, so we'll get more of her perspective. I'm sure the long-term goal is to build to Selina and Bruce being endgame again, we just have to trust Chip. |

Over on twitter, Dan Slott has revealed that Marvel had no prior plans for another ongoing Spidey title, he pitched this one entirely on his own. Celbulski heard the pitch and greenlit it.
He also approached Marvel with the idea to do the Peter/MJ story for Amazing Fantasy#1000
