Amazing Spider-Man#89
Based Bagley and based Gleason put together the best looking and best written issue of the Beyond era yet, showing Peter at his best with the lucky ladies in his life. Kafka has an interesting motivation as the Goblin due to her therapist background, she believes the madness gives her clarity. Her goblin gaze can inflict anxiety and doubt in a victim and compel them to suicide. Ben fails to appear but Janine turns up at the end, looking somewhat miffed. A lot of it felt a bit rushed, but it looked so darn good I'm not complaining.

Reckoning War continues in F4 this week as Reed with all the uber knowledge of the Watcher uses it to coordinate a counter strike against the Badoon's (also going Retro now too), Reed recives information from Silver Surfer that it's bad everywhere else & that he & all the other living former heralds are at Asgard reclaiming the remains of Galactus (his resurrection?), Johnny flies off to Sky's planet to save them leaving Jack of Hearts as Reed's plan B for saving the Universe, Uatu returns to his home planet to let the other Watcher's gear for war, Reed, Ben, Jen, & Jack go to Sh'iar Space to retrieve the M'kaaran Crystal only to learn the Imperial Guards were defeated by the Morani & Reed reveals to Ben he's dying from the information overload.
Meanwhile Doom has infiltrated Camp Hammond to take a powerful weapon & use it as bait.

GI Joe: Saturday Morning Adventures#1
Cobra Commander is in possession of a magic lamp and summons a genie, the genie will grant him three wishes. Cobra Commander of course asks for unlimited power, but the Genie tells him he cannot grant him that, or dominion over hearts and minds of others, nor can he resurrect the dead. Cobra Commander is incensed, but Destro suggests something, and eventually the Genie agrees to enlarge several of COBRA's B.A.T battle droids, making them a 'colossal' problem for the Joes.
There's even a PSA at the end of the issue...a fanboy is upset at what's going on in the comics, so he decides he's going to troll the creators on the internet. Mainframe sabotages his computer and tells the kid that being a jerk over a difference of opinion makes them the villain of their own story. Now the kid knows, and knowing is half the battle

Well, good news today folks, the front cover of my specially commissioned Spider-Man fan comic/manga has been finished and I can show it off At the moment, the main story interior is still being worked on (although the 'manga' variation is done) and I still have a few additional back-up strips to commission, but that should only take a couple of more weeks given how fast my team is and how great their rates are  |

Knew that would happen. Sad too because I liked the idea & concept it's just Shreidan really should've just focused more on it then nostalgia bateing 03 cartoon fans. Make it bigger to where other former Titans are part of the teaching staff, give the students a bit more of a flare for designs, & don't bother with the Red X stuff because nobody cares about Red X. |
