So this week begins more of Marvel's Fresh Start titles so I have thoughts on them plus a few extra.
Infinity Countdown see's the inevitable happening as Galactus goes back to being The Devourer of Worlds in order to stop Ultron's infestation. I honestly saw it coming regardless of whoever wrote it. It was an ok issue beyond that.
Dazzler X-song was an interesting read mostly because the petty side of me was happy to see the piss taken out of those Bigotted X-fans during this whole Inhuman drama. But I generally appreciate The writers far more positive & kind message of tolerance, unity, & representation which is more than I can say for crap like America which was just hellbent on saying white people suck.
Doctor Strange: This was an alright start. I'm still mostly lost on what exactly happened in Doctor Strange since beyond Secret Empire & Damnation I hadn't really read or remember the whole Last Days of Magic stuff. Still an ok start.
Ant-man & Wasp: Well the Guardians might be dick regarding Ant-man but at least Nadia is......less dickish. Whatever this was another alright book.
Immortal Hulk: The best title this week really as Al Ewing continues to show that he might possibly be the next big thing now with Bendis gone. Hulk goes back to the more horror roots & it is generally bone chilling especially with a Hulk who speaks coherently.
Deadpool: Well after a good 7 years of Deadpool turning back into a 3 dimensional character who uses comedy to cover for his inner turmoil & depression we're back to wackey adventures. I'm not really mad though since Duggan wrote an excellent meta-commentary regarding reboot & character regression for Wade in 300 & I honestly have more hope in Skottie Young providing a balance of comedy & character without just resulting in "lolrandommemes". Good start.
Over on DC's side Man of Steel continues to chug along just dandy, Wonder Woman was pretty good & help finally answer on what the hell happened to the Star Sapphires, Batman was good & The new TT previews is really not doing itself in not wanting me to hate it. But of course there's the big one:
Justice League: While it's a lot of set up & light action.....God this was good. After the rather mediocre portrayal of the League in Brian Hytch's hands I'm honestly just happy that this book bother to actually have this thing called character. I also like that apparently most of the Leagues OG history has been re-established given what was shown in the Hall of Justice & the appearance of JL1M. Awesome start so far.

I wanna believe the Mystery Spidey will be an AU Flash Thompson. Seems to be the right course given his death recently.

It might be Homecoming Spidey, or the Spidey from the upcoming PS4 game
Mayday's in her original outfit...are we going to reveal the one from Spider-Verse was an alternate version after all?
I wonder if Annie will appear? Seems to be just MJ, and Peter being around would be redundant since he is'nt all that different from 616/Mephistoverse Peter

I thought Mayday went back to her original outfit in Secret Wars........I wanna say Spider-Island or Spider-Verse tie-ins. i just recall their being a back-up story in one of thos with the OG creative team handling Mayday post-Spider-Verse.
EDIT: Yeah it was Secret Wars Spider-Island.
