Flash this week was fun. It's an interactive comic as Dr. Fate instructs the reader to help him & Flash on their journey to Gemworld.
Robin sees the big bout between Damian & Conner with Hawke surprisingly winning against him. Of course this does activate Grandma Al Ghul's plan of unleashing a Lazurus monster & now Damian has to stop it (with Conner getting stabbed by the monster but I'm sure he's fine.

Action Comics selling out post-Bendis is an early Christmas miracle, but who knows how much of that was due to the hype generated by Morrison on the Authority title.

Well this week marks the end of Tynion's run on Batman & boy.....That was disappointing. Like after his stint on Detective Comics I had hope that we were in for a solid run & a good pallet cleanser after Tom King crapped the bed & for the most part the Joker War stuff was (I thought) pretty good. Like "Joker knowing Bruce is Batman" aside it was a good enough course correction for most characters, Punchline was a decent addition as Joker's new buddy & we could've had a interesting direction with Batman without his wealth & having to resort to different allies in his fight on crime....& The Magistrate/Fear State happened & it was all downhill from there. What killed it for me (& for many I'm sure) was just this over-reliance of new characters that plagued the book which I can only assume were made for a speculator market after BWL or Punchline hit big with people. & these are probably the worst ways to introduce new characters most of them CONSTANTLY shitting on Batman because he's an old hat & "out of date" compare to them. Simon Saint could've been interesting but he basically devolves into a mad rambling psycho, Nobody cares about Peacekeeper 01, For all that "interesting" bravado people made about Miracle Molly she basically can be summed up as "sad white girl lobotomized into a cult & then wanted to commit city wide lobotomization because sad white girl problems", Gardener was pointless (Did she do....ANYTHING in the other books?), & Ghost-Maker was being sold too hard that he was annoying it's like we get it you watched anime & wanted the rival character, You wanted Vegeta but got.....I dunno insert lesser anime rival character here.
Here's hoping Williamson's able to give us a satisfying run. He's already done better with both Damian & Thomas already.

So i think I may have worked out Johnson/DC's angle in 'marking' the anniversary of the death of Superman...I don't think Clark is actually dead here, we'll find he survived, but the United Planets think he's dead and word from them will reach Earth, possibly with the video recording as 'evidence' and everyone, from the JL to Lois to Jon to every joe and jane public citizen will believe him to be dead and will mourn as such...while we the reader follow Clark in Action trying to recover and overcome Mongul Jr.

Danny De Vito's story is so sweet, Who'd have thought a relationship between Oswald and Selina would prove to be so beneficial to the world and even be in a healthier state than Bat/Cat has been in years?
