Huh that's weird. I thought Ram was taking a break to help his dad as to why JLD backups were ending (aka the only thing keeping JL afloat). I mean good on Swamp Thing fans regardless.

Apparently there's a Fourboot Legion story of local Manlet Legionnaire Polar Boy in that Winter Special in December He looks good! The creative team states "it's canon" but given Bendis is still on Legion that's doubtful but hey at least I have a morsel of a Legion story that's not dogshit.

Here's the Comicrhon sales estimates for the Superman line in September.
Superman Son of Kal-El 3 - 34,000
Superman and the Authority 3 - 31,000
Action Comics 1035 - 28,000
Batman Superman 22 - 27,000
Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow 4 - 26,000
Superman ’78 2 - 26,000
Challenge of the Super Sons 6 - 13,000
Horrible numbers for Johnson on AC. I've a feeling PKJ have to cut his Warworld saga short and course correct with something people outside the CBR apologist bubble will want to see.

Justice League: Last Ride#7 (climax)
Gotta say, I didn't see the happy ending coming at all. Zdarsky continues to subvert expectation with his darkly-themed titles, he's very much the anti-Tom King, as King often starts with optimistic status quos then callously deconstructs them, Zdarsky is the opposite, taking tragic circumstances and forging hopeful stories out of them by the end.
Hal got to be a badass, saving the day and destroying Darksied when Bruce is wounded and Hal finds he'd been used the whole time. With Lobo successfully tried, Bruce, Clark and Diana gather at the JL watchtower with J'On, his being now fused with the battery on Oa, and decide to reform the League as the JLU: Justice League Universal

Action Comics finally clears up the continuity between Morrison's book and PKJ's run so far
Clark's grey hairs are still there, a more youthful appearance was being maintained by Enchantress, who's powers were 'juicing him up' and keeping him at peak efficiency when in truth his powers are at their weakest. Manchester Black also used mind tricks on people, making him think Clark was still capable of strong feats. Unfortunately for everyone, Mongol knew all along, having been observing Clark since the start of Johnson's run

Amazing Spider-Man#78
Ben lures Morbius back to his apartment at Beyond, where the automated security systems shoot off Morbius' arm. Ben passes out from his bite last issue and is thrown into intensive care, where Maxine Danger hesitates in giving him the anti-toxin in case Ben develops vampire powers that she can exploit. Eventually, she permits the anti-toxin to be used.
Meanwhile, Felicia breaks into Peter's ward and whispers something in his ear that causes him to awaken ever so briefly, Mary Jane rushes into the room but Peter slips back into his coma. Felicia offers to leave but MJ appreciates her being there for him, and jokes she might have to get more love interests in the room. She's finally OK with Peter and Felicia still having feelings for one another.
Ben recovers and he and Janine spend an evening at the pictures and stroll through the park, sharing a kiss, not knowing they are being watched by the new Kraven
Venom#1
Eddie leads a squad of symbiotes, all named after members of the Beatles, towards a star ship being hijacked by space pirates. One of the Symbiotes, George, cries out for help. Venom heads over to where he is, only to find he has slaughtered the ship's crew. It's eyes glowing red, the symbiote seems to be possessed by another, who warns Eddie he will lose his standing as the king in black, before crumbling.
Back on Earth, Dylan is woken up by Eddie, who tells him they have to leave, he asks where Venom is. Dylan then receives a phone call...it's from Eddie! The real Eddie, who is back on Earth in a hotel room, fully aware that someone is impersonating him, and warning Dylan to get out of there. Eddie suddenly falls through time, seeing visions of Kang and the creature called Bedlam. He finally lands in another realm, a garden, and is confronted by someone named Meridius.
The 'post-credits' scene (or rather the post-editorial note), a female who resembles Meridius in appearance looks over the remains of Eddie, saying that all that is happening now, has happened before
