I brought this up at other sites. How can Sony make or produce any animated tv shows. They gave up the TV rights to marvel back in 2011/2012 to retain film rights. Which is why we got ultimate spiderman and marvels spiderman animated shows. Then spiderman showing up in guardians and avengers toons. I haven't heard of any change in that. Now yes there reports the current marvel shows are over after current seasona. But they bound to be making more. So has something changed where marvel and Sony will share tv rights. As I can't find any info to that or anything.

It came to light a couple of months ago that Sony retained the right to long-form television (be it 60 minute or feature length) , Sony also won an Oscar for Spider-Verse, that I feel has turned heads at Marvel and convinced them to hand over development of Spidey TV to them again. I don't think it's been formerly announced yet though.
I think Marvel have sorted out some kind of deal with Sony where they'll place the shows Sony produces on the Disney+ service.

Sure they won an Oscar but I seriously couldn't see marvel willing giving back rights to something. As much as I like spider verse as a film. I really don't want Sony doing TV shows either. More so last two series under marvel already lead heavy into spider verse characters and elements.

You do know even people who WORKED at Marvel Animation concede that the company sucks at making cartoons right?

Oh I agree the marvel toons haven't been perfect. All I was getting at. After spending years to get rights back. And in case of spiderman getting toy rights, then TV rights to the current shared live action film rights. I couldn't see marvel willing in giving back rights they got back. But hey like I said if there is a new deal or something I gladly like to see some official details.

Ya I didn't really trust Sony could do anything. As I never found any reports or news of any of the current situation with spidey. I said it before I couldn't see Marvel giving Sony TV rights back. After marvel getting them back years ago. Why would they give that up same on merchandise.
Though presently I rather Sony just stick to doing the animated movies as that was good. Vs putting x live action film of spiderman related characters. As I just really hate seeing lice action wise characters all spilt around. And rather see marvel tackle x characters then sony.
Heck is also like those rumors saying Sony wants Tom hardy venom to appear in Holland 3rd solo film. But since marvel has the creative control of character in team up and solo films. I doubt they want to put venom hardy version into mcu. Even if the multiverse stuff is true in far from home.

Well since venom is the main threat for that season. It makes sense for title.
