Digitastic! I wonder which voice actors they'll get. I've met three of the tri DigiDestined voice actors.

@combusto Dragon, at this time, we have no clue as to whether or not they will make an appearance as not a whole lot is known about it other then what has been revealed so far. And purplecreator , I wouldn't be too surprise if they keep the same voice actors for most of the Digidestined that voiced them in the six Tri movies. Though, I could be wrong on that, but from what I have read, they aren't going to be too much older then what they were in those movies so, they could easily be back on to voice them. |

I read all the japanese actors are reprising their roles. If they dub this as well I kind of doubt they'll let Vic Mignogna be Matt again.

I hate that they keep doing these "movies" instead of an anime series. Tri was plagued by many problems, including the writing and pacing. But at least this looks like it will have better character designs than Tri.

So this week was a total rollercoaster of diginews for me. I just learned that Philece Sampler passed away a little over a year ago. She was the voice of Mimi in the original dub as well as the tri films, and she was also Cody’s voice in 02. As a child I of course liked all the typically popular characters: Tai & Matt & Greymon & Angemon etc, but rewatching the show when I was older Mimi grew to be my absolute fave, and a big part of that was Philece’s stellar voice work in the role. She was able to sound spoiled and airheaded at first and then sweet and self-confident as the show went on. A real loss for the voiceover community. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, I just learned that they’re making a new Adventure 02 film, set after Last Evolution Kizuna, and I am stoked! www.comingsoon.net/anime/news/1232956-digimon-adventure-02-the-beginning-gets-name-casting-information?ampIt’s nice to see their Digimon haven’t vanished yet lol. |
