I found this season to be disappointing, tbh. Almost none of the plot developments were good ones. I was in to the mystery killer plot but...it's her mom? Is that something from the comics? That ruins the character's backstory and her tragedy, and then the revolving door of "Mom's the villain/no she's a tortured soul/actually she's a murderer/i should save her/no i should stop her etc." just got so muddled and bland. Season one had a clear goal and well defined villain, and was much stronger for it.
Worst of all was Trish. I LOVED her the first time, but here she started off rude with the ashes thing, then started getting high, had a stupid obsession with being "super," and this was all capped off with her...well...doing what she did in the finale. The little tease at the end that she's becoming Hellcat should have been cool, but honestly I wouldn't blame Jessica if she never talked to her again.
Jeri's plot was fine, but was so disconnected from the main plot that it felt like we were switching to a different show whenever she got the focus.
One thing I liked though was Oscar. He was good for her, and I like that she made the effort to connect at the end.
Like, I wouldn't object to a season 3 but the writing would really need to step up.

Read this on Fandom. Netflix's retaliation continues by cancelling both The Punisher, and Jessica Jones. Season 3 of Jessica Jones will still air this year.

i am actually surprised they would officially say 3rd season is last before show even drops in a few months. Even though fans knew it was to happen. You think they would not say officially to a few weeks after like dd and punisher was.
