A friend of mine thought that Black Lightning was based on Static Shock.

Well that friend is so off. Bl was created in 70s and if I am correct was one of the first black heroes for dc. Static was a 90s creation.

Good episode tonight. Was nice seeing more on whale and his associate lady eve. The continue drama of Jefferson wanting to be normal and try to help as black lightning is moving along nice. I am curious what's up with gambi hiding evidence that whale is alive from Jefferson. Was sad to see younger daughter boyfriend get hurt and the drama about first sexual time. It was also nice to see debut of Thunder comics girlfriend grace. And interesting in bl world there is comics about superheroes. I am curious what this means for other DC characters in this world. And if or when it may be a earth in arrow verse multiverse and what not.

Solid episode last night. The subplot of power drug out there was interesting. And the deal with Jefferson younger daughter and her bf is some good drama. And whale trying to stay top dog is good too.

Good episode last night. We got some good developments for variety of characters. We learn more of whale and his back story and connection to gambi. Jefferson learning that whale may be around and learning to lightning hover and stress it put on him. Looks like younger daughter powers are coming in. Also his older one learning about her grandpa and getting her own outfit. Overall good episode.

I know that maybe they are changing her powers a bit. Wouldn't be first time the shows changed a character.
