Han Solo a movie about one of the most beloved SW characters there is lost 200 Million at the box office. TLJ still made bank because it was riding a wave of momentum and expectations set up in TFA. IX has none of that. Not to mention more than 50% of the SW fans have been alienated because of the comments of Kathleen Kennedy and Rian Johnson and others. In fact SW has not created any new fans and is hemeraging established ones. Without action from Bob Iger. IX is going to open to a lot of empty theaters

Neo still there is plenty of folks who will go see the film. And like I said as long as marketing is done right unlike solo. Even though film was not that bad. And jj and others with Lucasfilm and Disney take to heart issues folks had with 8. They can easily fix some of those problems and make 9 a better film.

Always only 31.1% of the fan base saw TLJ it's second week. And that's roughly the audience for IX. 31.1% Plus you seem to be missing the point. Solo didn't flop because of bad marketing or Star Wars Fatigue. Solo failed because of Kathleen Kenedy, Rian Johnson and even JJ Abrams among others attacked fans online. So the fans responded by not spending their money on Solo. It's also why TLJ and Solo's merchandise also has not sold. Which is why I said. Without intervention from Bob Iger IX is going to fail. |

I still doubt it will fail. And like I said hopefully Lucasfilm Disney and jj will take heed to issues 8 solo and fans to Corp have and smooth things out.

You're still missing the point Always. Just like purplecreator is always missing the point in the Flash thread. 68.9% of Star Wars fans are not going to go see the movie while Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy and some others are still at Lucasfilms. So unless Bob Iger takes heed and cleans house at Lucasfilms Episode IX IS going to fail.
The damage Rian Johnson has done is extensive. Without an effort to repair that the movie will flop. The DVD sales might do one since the collectors simply want to have the complete series.

Seesh how about we just wait and see how things shape up. Seriously some folks are over reacting to things and even originals originals and prequels had bad things in them. I am sure things can be fixed.

My older daughter actually has mixed feelings about seeing it and she did see the others. I feel the same way. I honestly think fans have a right to be upset about how 8 was. It didn't even come close to being as good as the others.

Not every film will be the best thing ever. God look at the prequels those for the most part was trash. Just cause Rian or Kennedy did this or that. Again doesn't mean the next film can't learn from mistakes in film itself and the behind the scenes stuff. And even with 8 being a big divide look it still made money. Sure not not as much as 7 and other stuff. But come on name alone folks will still see it and next one more then likely make money too.
Again as I said before even with problems fans have with the creative folks. If Disney jj and Lucasfilm folks look at what went wrong for 8. No reason they can't correct fan issues and all that. Plus if fans don't like this or that. There still plenty of things they could like be it new or old comics, the toys, the various cartoons, or other upcoming projects.
Do I think 8 was best thing ever no. It had it faults. There was story aspects I didn't like. And just like things I idid enjoy in the film. And even with Rian and Kennedy stuff I don't think franchise ruined and can't be fixed.
